I have started to get a memory leak suddenly. started last week.
At the time i hadnt downloaded or installed anything new... it just started... my memory drain.
I ran icleaner at first and the memory leak stopped...but 3 days later it returned:( i ran icleaner again, but it didnt fix it.
i switched to using my iphone in safe mode. 4 days later... i try normal boot again... and memory leak has stopped....then yesterday, it suddenly started again
anyway i can check what is uring my resources/memory so i can maybe work out what is causing the drain.
Its foen in safe mode.... just when im in normal boot, it eventually starts

i use the first untethered jb for 5.1.1 (absinthe) ... im not sure if to do it again but use the redsnow jailbreak instead.
Thing is, i updated n jailbroke my phone few months ago when it came out the absinthe.... but its only recently started to leak memory.
RAM runs down n down, until too low and phone resets... then repeats.
Must be an app or something in cydia as its fine in safe mode. I even think it may just be an app as in safe mode, doesnt apps in cydia still run?

have you tried running it w/o jailbreak for a while? doesn't the phone disable a couple functions when its running in safe-mode? could be that it disabled the app thats causing it. so check everything thats running on it. and if there's absolutely nothing. could even be a poorly made game/app that you downloaded that's constantly running in the background. and as always don't forget to end the running apps when you aren't actually using them. but try running w/o a jailbreak and if memory leaks occur then it's the phone, but it shouldn't be.
a way to check is to go through all the options that have apps running in the background. notifications and what not.

i use weekill background to close all apps in background... but when in normal mode, it still does mem drain.
I turn phone off... turn on and hold volume + to put into mode with no apps running and its fine... so must be an app either installed or something installed through cydia.
It just randomly starts n stops the leak does... very annoying
