I am currently at a biotech conference. Yesterday, one of the sponsor exhibitors had a quiz about biotech. Questions like 'what was the first genome ever sequenced', 'when was DNA structure discovered' and 'who developed the HMMER algorithm'. Finally i could use my random and completely useless biotech knowledge i absorbed in university to work.

So, me and my colleague won the quiz with 29 point (#2 had 26).

My prize? A fucking iPad 3 !
My buddy's? a $399 Lytro camera !

I was like completely stunned when I got the prize Laughing Laughing Laughing Ow yeah, and there was pizza and beer for everyone Surprised

btw, answer are, Phi X 174 phage, 1953 and Sean Eddy of course!

Actually, I'm kind of happy for him. Apart from the obvious iOS limitations, the device in itself is a beast. However, there are other, cheaper, Tegra 3 powered devices and the upcoming Exynos Quad Samsung Tablet (of which name I can't recall atm).

It is anice product. Would never spend dollars on it, but for free, i like it. Smile

Its my first apple product ever Surprised

It's crazy here. Really everybody has an ipad. I feel kinda sad because of america. I am in california btw. I just got a free ipad in some fancy hotel. But i havent seen one white guy working in the hotel. The injustie, the inequality... Cant see this system survive very long in thefuture...

Dont worry. The touch screen sucks to type long stories. Still will be using my laptop. But it is handy to watch movies in bed or kil time at the conference here during the talks which are quite boring now and then...

Congratz! Im surfin the forums right now with my iPad 3... before my first iPad (1) i told everyone what useless shit they are, because everyone has a laptop and smart phone and so on. But since i got it, i even use it more then my computer haha
