Wanted to thank Interinactive for your help regarding the xliveless and such. I got this up and running and was able to use my old save games flawlessly. Game runs awesome on my current rig now, too.
It doesn't really matter what settings I use. The game still runs like shit and looks like shit. And for fuck's sake, my upgrade was quite big. I had a 8600GT back then and now I have a GTX 560 Ti and I dare to say the game runs even worse now, actually. Add to that the amazing amount of graphical problems and what not. Yes, I'm aware that the game is quite heavy on the CPU and mine is quite weak, but I've seen really big differences in most games with this upgrade. This one though? Nothing. Absofuckinglutely nothing. Fuck this game. I don't even care if there's a way to make it run properly. I'm done with it. It's not that good anyway.
I had the same experience. Went from a 4850 and 2.8 ghz dual core to a gtx 570 and 3.8 ghz quad core and performance still sucked.
Wow, I am tempted to reinstall just to see this iCEnhancer in action. Hmmmmm...

I went to download it. It asks you if you want to install something called Babylon Toolbar, like whenever you download something free these days, but you can uncheck the boxes and click "Next". However, when you do that a box pops up saying "By clicking OK you agree to install Babylon Toolbar", with your only options being OK or Cancel. No thanks!

Download fail. You need to click skip ad at the top of the site and it will take you to mediafire to download the actual zip file. You were probably clicking download on the ad splash page.
i never was able to install it properly and reading those awful readme files makes my brain hurt... whats the easiest way to install this shit for steam... \o/

This one looks very interesting. I've always wanted to reinstall GTA IV and try all these gameplay mods, but I fear that I could end up spending entire evenings trying to figure out how to combine them without doing any damage, like it happened with Oblivion back in the day.
1.0.7.0/EFLC/Steam is out now, it's on the official site, though apparently still no installer or config tool.
Worth noting it's not "true" 1.0.7.0 support. It's semi-supported, like it always was. For best results you have to downgrade to an earlier version of the game. From the readme:

As iCEnhancer is merely a ENB tweak, and Boris, the dev of ENB, has decided to ignore version 1.0.7.0 (I think he became angry R* broke his shaders with the latest update after all the effort he put into them), it'll never be fixed. Not by anyone other than Boris anyway.
