mine is just a not-really-funny prolongation of my first name, that being Lutz.
I used to use uz at first in games where you could only use your initials, then went to uzi with games that had three letters in the hi-score tables (oh those were the days), then went to lutzifer or deathbringer in fps games... Sometimes i still use uzi as a nick though, but usually i ll use lutzifer for anything and everyhting nowadays...

My old handle which I used in pre-internet BBS days was RenHöek, from Ren & Stimpy show. Got my doctorate, evolved it into dr Ren. nerrd is drren backwards.
