Holy jizz that is a lot of misc quests lol

then again I have restarted 3 times, it gets extremely boring when I reach the apex of my abilities. 1 shotting everything brings no entertainment to me.

420 hours on steam lol.

Those misc quests are randomly generated and so unfinishable afaik. Most of them were insignificant really.

Useless unfortunately.

I tried this with Oblivion and Fallout 3 and the format hasn't changed here either (I already tried it, lots of interesting files to toy around with.), it uses DDX texture files or what they were called (Not DDS) the NIF models are different as is the sound files and scripts (Thus none of the assets can be used with the PC version.) and the ESP file won't work either since it has that little endian / big endian swap, not sure on the details but they're usually all like that for console DLC.

Finally maxed out enchanting, forged and enchanted a kickass dragonscale armor.

I was doing 310 damage with my enchanted Daedric bow + 20 health absorb + 30 fire when I spent my last 2 remaining points on the archery "bullet time" skills and damn... Shocked

I won't say that archery finally matches the one handed skill, it actually surpasses it since dealing this damage not even multiple enemies in the same room stand a chance against me now; they're either dead with one arrow or get paralysed/knocked back, which even without me using "bow+arrow time" (Very Happy) makes them dead anyway.

From what I've read it was planned for release towards the mid of this month but there's no official word on when the release date will be so there's no way to confirm that.
(There's only that one month exclusivity for the first two DLC on the X360 but if that means a full 30 days or just for a month to shift I don't know, there's probably some time limit to it.)

UESP has a lot of info on the DLC but there's some spoilers as well even outside the quest info and such, doesn't sound too bad though. Very Happy
(About six hours length apparently and there's two sides to it so ~15 hours or so all in all maybe if you do both of those which is what Bethesda claimed.)

He kept mentioning Dark Souls and Dragon's Dogma. I presume he's playing mostly in 3rd person and since he's used to those I can understand why he wants that. What the first Risen has would be perfect for him I guess. Smile

I just started to play this game again, but I got a crash to desktop issue.

Before I fired up the game I patched it to the latest version and installed the Official HD pack + fix, and Enhanced blood mod.
(I think the game was unpatched when I used to play it)
This worked fine for a couple days (including Whiterun) but now it suddenly crash to desktop on certain (random) areas.
One of them is Whiterun, when I enter Whiterun it always crashes to desktop.
I did fix it by disableing the official HD mod in data files, but that aint an option.

Anyone know whats causing this.. do I need to start a fresh game for this or something?

I also removed Skyrim/prefs .ini's but that dint help either. Sad

What happens if you disable all other mods and then try it, for the enhanced blood mod you have to use the latest version for it to be compatible with this update and the latest version also uses less scripts than the older releases so you have to remove those script files manually, this is very very important as files in \scripts are loaded automatically and are not mod dependent so old script files will cause a lot of problems if not maintained and kept up to date.

Script files will also persist in the save game forever so altering mods and changing or updating scripts will eventually cause save game issues but usually it's very minor however if you were to enable Papyrus (The script language the game uses.) logging you would probably get a few MB worth of errors from old saves, of course you get a lot of error logs from a fully patched but completely unmodded game too, it's pretty robust so usually it doesn't impact the game in any way but it does depend on what the script does.

The HD DLC pack shouldn't cause any issues even without the fixes for it (I think there's three of them.) but it will display some errors and certain things are misnamed and won't be properly using the new textures but the only thing that could cause a crash there is if you run out of memory.
(Not VRAM - which you have a good amount of - but actual system RAM, game might be Large Address Aware since patch 1.3 or such but it's still a 32-bit application and thus is limited to around 3 to 3.5 GB of RAM usage and it will get very unstable at around 2.1 GB of RAM usage and usually crash if it goes any higher than 2.4 GB usage.)

I've disabled all the mods I had running Bloodmod including related script files and PP injector, No luck, the game still crashes.
Also when I got the texture pack enabled I noticed sometimes texture fail to load, models will display all purple, restarting the game will fix this.

I can now confirm it is because of the HD texture pack, when I disable it its rock solid.
Made a new savegame in Whiterun right infront of my home, when I load it with Texture pack enabled it instantly crashes to desktop.
I also have loads of items dropped on tables inside my Breezehome, not sure if this can cause problems i've been doing the same thing in oblivion/fallout. but I noticed a NPC' in my home that drunken folk, telling me he did nothing.

Will try to start a new game right now and see what happens, if it persist I will have to scratch the texture pack.

I'm running the game on WindowsXP btw.

-Edit-

Currently only using HighResTexturePack01.bsa and no more crashes.
this pack only covers gear/actors, no landscape improvements.
I can live with that.
