Glad I skipped this on release. Coop patch got delayed.

"COOP Release Delayed
We have worked very hard to get the coop working for you. However we
will need to delay the release of the coop a few more weeks to reach
the quality we are looking for. The feedback we got at release made us
realize that we needed to fix a lot of stuff in the single player
campaign and the game in general. This led to a delay in the work with
coop. We also realize we
released the game a bit too early and we don’t want to repeat that
mistake with the coop part of the game. We will of course continue to
listen to your feedback."

That's a shame, though luckily I'm not interested in co-op whatsoever so it doesn't bother me.. I feel bad for those that have been waiting though.

It's not very buggy at all, certainly nothing gamebreaking and you'll get many hours out of it IMO Smile

They also converted to the .ACF format (That "new efficient format" message you'll get when a title needs to be updated.) Steam is recently adapting to, will likely mean better patches and who knows what else it can improve on. Smile
(Seems it's a bit less restrictive as well with how updates can be released but maybe that's just me but usually titles don't update during day here due to time zone differences yet now patches are released more randomly.)

Aye, this new format not only makes patching games easier (no more 4GB downloads for a 4GB game) but is also part of the new "Any dev can patch their game without certification" stuff Valve have been talking about. It's a pretty fun time Very Happy

I guess the Steam Witcher 2 community is grateful, ha ha. Very Happy
(Being that the game only has that single packed file for all it's data at around 9 GB.)

(Or they would be but I think patching is all but over for that game.)

Anyways nice to see this game updated further, I've not had many issues with it but the changes they've implemented since the first release of the game are very nice.

Might be a good time to continue with the game, tried exploring some further away areas but the game gets pretty difficult if you try to rush ahead, better to take it slow and upgrade your characters and their equipment, which is pretty standard I guess but I like exploring so it's pretty easy to get into some weird situation with enemies in large numbers and several levels higher than your own party.
