The goal in first-person horror/terror Slender is to find 8 creepy manuscripts about the paranormal creature Slender Man and avoid going insane. The more directly the player views Slender Man and the closer he is, the faster your sanity will drain. He appears rather startlingly in-game, like old-school Michael Meyers from Halloween.
I wanted to see what he looked like so I paused a walkthrough right when the person playing saw him and instantly ragequit. It was just a faceless man in a suit. How does anyone find this scary? Is it some form of advanced circlejerk where people pretend that something the internet invented is the best thing EVAH?

Good to hear that a Source version is coming. I don't want to sound like a graphics whore, the game is still very creepy(at least for the first couple of "encounters") and atmospheric as it is, but the Slenderman model looks so bad it becomes funny when you see him up close. Not sure about the coop thing though, seems like it would ruin the whole scare factor of being alone in the woods, stalked by a monster.
IMO it would be perfect if the game looked like Alan Wake, only in first person and with darker nights.

In that last teaser you can see Mr. Slender.. (basically a d00d in a suit floating there with no animations). Interesting concept but yeah I don't get this game: so each mission is to collect 8 notes from the environment before you accidentally bump into one of them and go insane? It does look tricky especially after the 6th note is found but then whats new once this mission ends? I gather there will be more.
