All I can see on youtube are from the endings... there is more explanation during the assault on earth (like cinematics and dialogs showing your squad breaking and going into the normandy).

Regarding the scene after the credits:
Spoiler: | I chose the rejection ending this time. After the credits, the stargazer was a female, looked like an Asari. That's different from what I remember from the old endings. |

Interesting. With EC, and my old save, destroy option got "breath" scene, despite not having 4000-5000 effective war assets.

Maybe they added that extra scene in the 3000+ option as well to fix the EMS bugs that they can't fix.

As expected, a few added scenes cannot make an ending better that has been unsatisfactory from the beginning. What makes this EC even worse than the original ending in my eyes is that they edited out the bleak undertones to please the "I deserve a good ending" derps you can find here as well as on the original forums.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-06-27-mass-effect-3-leviathan-dlc-files-hidden-in-extended-cut
Spoiler: | The revealing new expansion is set to focus on a traitorous Reaper named Leviathan.
A partial script, spotted by the BioWare Social Network, has been extracted and posted to Pastebin. It includes fresh dialogue from all the game's main characters (presumably recorded alongside the Extended Cut).
Shepard is sent to rescue the scientist Ann Brynson, who you find at a Reaper-indoctrinated mining facility. The colony has been controlled by a Reaper named Leviathan for 10 years.
Leviathan is referred to as a defector, a traitor who killed one of its own kind.
One dialogue line hints to more information about the Reapers' creators, briefly alluded to by the Star Child in the game's ending.
"So the Reapers did not fully exterminate their creators. That suggests they are fallible, even on large or long-term scales."
Leviathan can then join the fight against the other Reapers, presumably becoming a War Asset. Brynson can either live or die based upon your choices.
A Reaper named Leviathan has been mentioned before in Mass Effect lore. Scanning a planet in Mass Effect 1 revealed "The Leviathan of Dis", the corpse of a presumed-dead living starship. Then, in Mass Effect 3, the character Balak (if kept alive in Mass Effect 1 DLC Bring Down the Sky) hints that the Leviathan was an dormant Reaper, which the batarians have accidentally reactivated. |

Ugh. All the people on the official forum sucking Bioware's cock over a few extra lines of dialogue makes me fucking sick to my stomach.

you actually thought they would change the ending , they can't do that it's not possible
however cheesy it might be but we should be grapefruit that they even did something about it and you can't deny that.

No, I never thought that. Perusing any of my posts since the EC was announced should indicate as much. What I expected (somewhat naively obviously) was a reaction to the EC similar to what happened at the original ending. I should have known the sheeple would be placated easily.

My biggest plot hole still is ....what kind of space magic did they use for the mass effect relays since they didn't take half the entire galaxy with them when they exploded.
Also I still think the stupid synthesis ending is still the best of the 4. I don't get wtf is that choice doing there in the first place. At least put some moral ambiguity in there. It's like an "easy" girl giving to you fast and all at once without any mystery or pleasure.
The control option is pretty interesting from what I saw, while the rejection is kind of retarded since it does not give any finality in WTF happened during the war...
I don't know...if they would have put these endings from thestart maybe they wouldn't have gotten in this shit in the first place. It would have been one of those overarching endings a la BG2 or some of their other titles. But as it stands, 4 fucking months waiting for what can only be defined as shit.
BIOWARE next time FINISH YOU GODDAMN GAME before u release IT!!!

Control ending does differ depending of type of Shepard you played.
With my renegade Shepard, new shep-ai was definitively more aggressive then in those clips on youtube. |
I can't find a renegade control ending on yt but would like to know what happened in your cutscene then. How was it different from the clips on youtube? (I played renegade as well and like control the best, but don't feel like reinstalling everything just to see 5 minutes of cutscene)

I doubt it had much to do with caring about fans. After all, their initial reaction was pretty much a "fuck you". It was mostly about trying to stem the bad publicity and not letting the franchise go down the toilet as a result, once it was clear the backlash had reached a critical mass. Hence all the "artistic integrity" bullshit - the changes were made under duress, and they made it pretty clear they were kicking and screaming the whole way.

friendly reaper I am really curious what comes next | The best part will be when biowarEA says you'll be paying 800 derposoft points for this shit
MP DLC's (that really don't count for shit for probably most of the people who are "in" ever since ME1 ) = free
Story DLC's = pay up, biotch!
Oh and they'll only be available on either origin or on biowarEA's derp network...

yeah how dare they
Spoiler: | everyone is crusading and holding pitchforks , over what really ......... it's just a damn video game , omg you didn't like the ending how sad
it's like everything they ever did is worth zero (mass effect wise) just because you didn't like the last five minutes of the game , it's like they intentionally want to piss off their "fans" , get over yourselves. |

Keep in mind the people who were overreacting were kids or fans who always tend to be getting involved too much for their own good in the game's world. Personally I found the polarizing reactions from the past couple months more enternating than the third game, which I haven't bought due the derp implementation of Origin.
The fans are not entitled to anything, so getting the extended ending is all on Bioware and mostly EA's good will. The only thing the fans can be entitled to is their money and the way they spend it, which probably will be spent on the next dozen dlcs until the announcement of ME4.

well a couple of things... i think people who PAID for a product, are certainly entitled to a quality product that holds up on the promises made by the developers and publishers, and that certainly wasnt the case in me3 (what with the promise of your actions 'mattering', which wasnt the case)
but most importantly, ALL gamers ARE ENTITLED to call out a developer and a product when, quite frankly, something in it is not GOOD. the ending was shit. gamers arent entitled to a flawless gaming experience that lives up to all their expectations, but they ARE entitled to call something as shit, when in their opinion, it is.
bioware didnt release an extended dlc because they felt they owed their fans anything... shit... it wasnt even done to generate 'good will'. they only did it to keep the dlc 'mentality' going, and to also go into damage control to fix their fast sliding public image as talented game developers...

Leviathan? The only known Reaper by that name is Leviathan of Dis, which is a billion years old and crashed on planet Jartar. Batarians got him and he apparently indoctrinated them and that's how the invasion started. They opened the Alpha Relay for the rest of the fleet. How can he be friendly?
