hi guys!
i've done some search, googled and also here on tha hump, but didn't find anything that is close to my needs:

basically i need a device that allows me to stream HD video from the computer to the TV, via the HDMI entrance of the tv.
the connection between this device and my pc should be a classic network cable or any different that allows me a connection from 10 mts aprox.

i own a ps3 and tried to do this via the ps3 server, but is a pain in the ass to run smooth video.

any ideas or suggestions?

not sure if this is what your after but i got myself one of these

Sony SMP-N100 - Digital multimedia receiver

network cable into back from my router and it allows me to stream any movie or music pics and stuff directly to my tv

Or a Western Digital HDTV Live. Plays virtually every codec.

Roku players are another option.

one of the most important thing is to make sure it can decode proprietary audio codecs .. I think the WD Live downmixes DTS to 2.0 stereo, which is better than my older WD that just plays silence instead Sad

personally I have an apple tv 2 which works perfectly fine after being jailbroken

but roku is crap..but its quite cheap

get either ac ryan hd2 or maybe Mede8er MED500X2..but they are $200/170 euro..but awesome

My blu-ray player does that (lg bd670n) but i've already got my pc hooked up via hdmi to my tv so i just use xbmc personally.
