God damnit It is acting up again. Yeah I have it for 5 years but I am taking care of it and it was still a very solid performance machine until some time recently Mad
The damn thing started acting weird, like posting only 1 out of 5 tries and when it did finally boted I was greeted with nice 10% of my gpu performance (cpu performance allirght)....

Then I've discovered that that stupid piece of plastic ez connector is wrong placed and I had it inserted upside down since last cleaning. that's nothing, It just sets gpu into sli mode but nothing more than that.

But now my pc won't boot at all no matter how hard I try with the damn connector set in the correct "single gpu" position !!!!!!! It either have to be set to dual mode or completly removed for my pc to boot... and all the performance I have is like 10%
For some time I've SOMEHOW by the black magic, managed to restore my gpu to like 70% of it's power. Don't know how. I just removed gpu, connector. Inserted it again in different ways and it was like that... it was still shitty but better than fucking crawl but tonight out of nowhere it crapped on me again. 10fps in every god damn 3d thing possible.

Krater on LOWEST settings !!! 10fps. 3dmark 2006? 10-20fps.... in place of usall 80ty
Youtube videos are still working no problem since they use flash which uses cpu. When gpu comes with help then everything fuck up again.

I've completly dissassembled stupid gpu and regreased it with no luck. I can't get it to any better state.

it don't look like typical hardware malfunction. there is something to it.
I don't give a shit about the pc. I just want to know what the deal is Laughing
I will be getting new machine after summer If I will find a work in this god forsaken land... maybe after 3 months of work I will gather like 1000$ (in pln) for new rig.

Until then, I have 22inch (with fucking backlight bleeding) netbook. Really. i think I will just be using my netbook. it is practiclly the same speed as my pc right now. Even my Desire Z is now more impressive Crying or Very sad


Only to think I've paid over 1500$ for it back in 2007 Crying or Very sad.



Also one more thing to bitch about. I am never getting high end rig fucking ever again. it was waste of money. Right when I got my superb new pc in 2007, the games fucking stopped getting released for pc so I had only few games to use that pc with. yeah. 360 and ps3 came into place... and I got 360 only in 2010.

If I would buy a high end rig this year it would be the same shit all over again. new consoles will be released at the end of next year and pc will be thrown into pit for another 5 years of darkness.

You dont BUY a high end rig, you build one. Allowing you to swap out parts whenever you need to

I prefer to invest 7-800€ in 3 years in parts and not go all out with 1.500 - 2000 € every 5 years. I couldnt stand living with the same CPU/GFX for 5 years and I prefer being flexible. So if I dont get the "High-End" mobo and the "high-end" cpu/gfx, I dont care as I'll just swap them for a new one a little sooner.


@KC: For starters, clean and reinstall your gfx drivers.

Of course I reinstalled drivers and even windows. Dissassembled whole pc. Changed thermal grease on everything etc.

@tc. No. I've built it myself. Bought every part independently. I would never buy a whole ready pc. This is unacceptable. Where is the joy of assembling it and choosing parts?! Surprised

Year after I changed that 320gts. God damnit that 320mb of memory was a big problem with it. And It was soooo expensive. fucking nvidia. Only to sell it fo 1/4 of the price year after and buy gt512

I remind once again. This was 2007. The shit have full right to break after 5 years Crying or Very sad Laughing
