Yeah, you know commitment can be such a hard thing. I've been commiting a lot more to photography the past years (some can be found here: www.tobiassolem.se ), I've always been interested in photography and I've had a lot of education in it, but it's not until these past few years that I've really gone headfirst into it and my development, at least from a theoretical standpoint has skyrocketed, but because of it I now am more creative and with it I dare to risk more, I believe this "inconsideration" from just doing it for myself for so long has helped me to not care, and just keep doing what I like while always reading articles, doing tutorials, watching the works of others keep me slightly improving over time.
So by age 80, I'll have that one shot the world will remember me by. 
Yes, yes I'm back.

I work as a teacher in media, one of the subjects I teach is photography. Been doing photography since the early 90'ies but I never really did it solely. I used to run my own business and did web design, commercials, and PR-stuff for bands (the only band that now has a name that I worked for was Meshuggah). Photography was always something I did on the side, nothing I did primarily.
Now I've changed that perspective and am focusing more on it, since I began teaching it I've become more and more interested and the drive I have for it tells me that I'm at least going forward.
I used to think the same way for years, I was interested and had a pretty good camera - but there was always something else in the way: university studies, web design, photoshop work, etc. - it always became second hand and I always had this "Jack of all trades"-philosophy (which to an extent I still do have). 2009 I worked together with a professional photographer who helped me see the immense joy there is in being a photographer and since then I've been doing it more and more. About two years ago I started teaching photography (high-school) and design and since then (since I always take my work very seriously) I made the commitment to become better, by always improving and competing with myself I always seemed to like my stuff more and more, and meanwhile have more and more fun, exponentially it helped me develop.
I am by no means great yet in my own shooting, but the knowledge I have, and the experience I have is up there.
