So i reached act 2 inferno with my monk, i made sure to gear up before starting it, buying a lot of resistance and vit gear and now all my resistances are above 300 (and i have no money left). First 3 mobs that i did not use invincibility skill against killed me in .. erm.. 3 hits? ahaha ahahahahah ahahahahahhahaha

Item design and "all builds are viable" mindset makes the game painfully predictable. The "skill" involved is a gear check more than anything.
I wish I could say I enjoy playing, but I got bored after grinding gear for a while. I left my Monk in Act 3 Inferno - and I'm struggling to get back and finish it. It's just not interesting.
There's definitely a problem with melee/ranged balance - but I did ok with my Monk in Act 3. It's just that you depend on items and you can either grind for, for ages - or buy directly off the AH.
Not much skill involved. It's a matter of having LUCK, MONEY, or PATIENCE.
Pitiful design - in my mind.

Can someone give me tips on how to invest on artsian/blacksmith when I'm playing this as an SP game? So no AH, so buying items from others etc. It seems completely random and frankly a waste of gold to me.

Blacksmith is almost exactly like gambling in D2 - in terms of what it will get you. It will provide a statistically higher chance of getting what you want - but the chance itself is so low, that I think just farming items is more efficient and "fun" - if you think farming is fun. Reason being that it's VERY expensive to craft stuff. Stupidly so, I'd say.
Avoiding the AH totally is your choice - but you should know that it means spending 10-100x longer getting appropriate gear for the later difficulties.
If you enjoy extending gameplay in that way, go for it, but I have to say the game isn't interesting enough to make me play it that way.

I'm looking for something to use all the gold I get, I can't find anything else ingame. I'm not interested in the best gear and I am not interested in hardcore, that's why I don't use the AH. I don't understand what the point of looting would be if I can just buy shit from other users. I'm not exactly playing this game for the awesome story or the great dialogues, looting and combat is all there is for me tbh.

Without the AH there's no use for your gold, just like in D2. Loot drops are a bit worse than in D2.

Or swallow a little pride and just sell it for $$$ on RMAH, then atleast you get something of real value in return

I wouldn't waste money at first on the blacksmith. It cost me over 5k and tons of mats to try and craft a lvl 38 or something chest piece 3 times for my barbarian and everything I got was junk. I go to the AH and find much better items for 5-10k all day long. The BS is kind of a waste right now it seems to me as just like rare drops, everything is completely random and they are quite expensive to make. The jewelcrafting is certainly worth it though IMO.
I'll be glad when 1.03 gets here too. Sure I can farm with my 60 DH, but getting 1 shotted on act 2-3 inferno hardly makes the game fun or exciting. Reminds me of EQ back in the day when I would solo with my Shadowknight for days to kill something. On my 48 barbarian, who's near the end of act 3 Nightmare, I have a blast jumping in to big battles and doing tons of damage, leaping out when surrounded and just being in these huge, brutal battles. I'm hoping that the experience, when grouped in particular, will be like that in inferno. I don't want it super EZ mode, but getting hit by white mobs for 60k is not exactly quality game design.
If you want to make easy money, know what rings sell well and check vendors. I've made 100's of thousands buying rings in bulk for like 5-7k and selling them for 15-35k or so.
