Kriek is a lambic as far as I know, and just as much beer as anything else really.

Well they make several flavours (10+) that are available everywhere, but then they have some seasonal versions with taste that only are available in select stores. Some of those are really bloody awesome and you spend days cringing when they stop selling them because summer is over (or w/e). Wink

Its nice with a big selection. Scandinavia is getting a little Americanized!
Im not a big club soda fan, but I tried "Olden apple" and it was really great. No sugar or any "konserverings midler" Smile
Way more taste than Farris that, that is by far Norways biggest club soda brand.

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

I'm in Edmonton at a conference this week, but doesn't mean I can't find new beers to try Smile

this is from Montreal but not sold in my neck of the woods, 9% can kick your ass

this one is a really tasty, a 8.5% double IPA from Victoria BC

and an Edmonton local that is pretty easy to drink (ie 5 pints by "accident" at dinner)

Smile

(I also need to ask Atropa where he lives, why they have so many unique and tasty looking beers there, and also why he hates a not bad patio beer like rolling rock Wink)

Another solid stout.

I don't know what a patio beer is but rolling rock lacks any quality. It taste like the worst kind of industrially produced beer. Have in mind though that I only tasted a few cans sometime ago and that was inbetween various IPA's. I may have judged it a bit harsh. I have nothing against cheep beer and usually drink quite a lot of it. As a cheapo beer I guess it's okay.
I live in Copenhagen. It's not until recently that it was pointed out to me, that Denmark has some very skilfull beer importers. Never once thought it weird that limited edition and barrel ages beers are routinely on sale in various beer stores. It's quite a nice place to live for a beer geek Smile

You should really try and see if you can find a Nøgne ø saison or wit. They are brewed in Grimstad and should be very nice Smile. Frudenlund is Carlsberg in disguise as far as I know. If I lived in Norway I would probably substitute a large portion of my diet with Nøgne ø Very Happy

By patio beer is just meant something refreshing you might drink a lot of outside on a hot day Smile

Rolling Rock is by no means great and definetely lacks flavour, but it's much better than this piss that I'm being forced to drink at the airport bar I'm in Sad

If you ever stumble upon a mikkeller saison sally then you should really try it. That's a summer beer! Over here it's not very expensive like 6 $ for 2 with a abv of ~7 if I remember correct.

I actually talked about the issue with a mate the some weeks ago in a random airport. It really is a shame you can only drink expensive crappy beer. Fuck airport security I want to bring in my own beer! Very Happy
