Prometheus - 6.5/10 - first of all, I'm not going to pretend Alien had an excellent script, far from it. It did however know what it was, a suspenseful thriller/horror in a scifi setting. This movie however has no clue what it is or where it is going. Visually it's excellent as expected. It wssn't a CGI mess, most of it looked plausible/real. There were no superhitechawesome scifi techs which looked completely ridiculous, compliments for that.
The script however is shit, garbage. There's absolutely no character development, everyone is some kind of charicature. One pretty important example is David, someone who hasn't watched the Alien movies will have absolutely no clue why he did what he did. All characters can be summarized in 2-3 words (David is "psycho robot" for example). There is absolutely not a single ounce of nuance when it comes to characters. The script itself is an exercize in bringing up questions. Absolutely nothing is answered. I can summrize the script in a few words, "cool shit happens". That's all of it, nothing more. As icing on the cake, you get a horrendous cliffhanger. "See you all for the sequel suckers HAHAH HAHAHAHAHAHA", that's what I imagined hearing when leaving.
What a disappointment. This felt like a good Lost episode. You watch it, enjoy it, but in the end you're left asking "WTF just happened?". Whoever wrote this was clearly trying to emulate JJ Abrams.

Gonna watch Alien and Aliens again 2morrow Smile

I am going one deeper and is watching Darkstar, made by the guy that wrote Alien and had a big hand in it. Oh and donยดt mind the alien in this one is quite clearly a beachball Smile (and its John Carpenters first full length movie even).

Sneak peak:

i think o'bannon said alien was a serious remake of the comical darkstar

It was more or less:

I still like it. 8.5/10
Of of Tony's better works. Denzel is really good in it, and so is little Fanning.

Green Zone - 9/10

This is my second time watching this movie, and I really loved it, stupendous from start to finish, I cannot understand why such low rating on both IMDB and RT, this movie is consistent on all fronts, a great realistic action movie, a superb political thriller, outstanding art direction, completely recommended!

I found it a bit predictable, but still, definitely entertaining and intense. I bet the many 1/10 are because of the political stance of some of the viewers Cool Face

11/10 of course. Laughing

Seriously, the editing on man on fire was one of the most imbecilic I've ever seen... unless i'm not getting my movies right

I thought the editing portrayed Washington's feelings very well. On Payne they just put flashing camera with almost no thought. But here it is done well. If you listen to the commentary and see making of, Tony explains why he did what he did.

Max Payne 3 was heavily inspired by the movies Man on Fire and Tropa de Elite. That's the connection Wink

Highlander 2/10. What a waste of time. If anyone likes this it must be nostalgia factor. So many disjointed scenes. Hated the part where the highlander gets trained by sean connery and every second scene hated him and the others they looked like friends, you knew nothing about what made him hate him and what made him change his mind. And the overuse of Queen ruined the last bit of atmosphere in the movie, even though queen did not fit at all.

snow white and the huntsman - 2/10
the only redeeming bits were the effects and charlize
everything else was beyond fubar. Heck even the music at all didn't fit with the scenes. It's like someone designed a perfect movie and failed to evoke any sort of emotion throughout any scene. FUCK. Seriously, this is BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD!

Mirror Mirror - 5/10
Disney. Tarsem. Pretty sets. Better story. Disney dunce prince. Stereotypical to a t. it's peter pan (2003) to its animated counterpart. \o/ Not as good though. But better portrayal of parts than that horrible stewart movie. At least it had actual people in it. ACTING. I hope charlize got paid millions for her 20 minute cameo.

Yes i went to the theatre to see snow white and the huntsman, and at home watched mirror mirror. Very Happy

Prometheus tomorrow. But fuck... if anyone is going to see snow white and the huntsman... save yourself the trouble and just kill the person who's making you see it and NEVER NEVER download it. FUCK! Borefest galore. Sad

Iron Sky - 7/10

Some scenes were brilliant, others way too over the top (even for this movie's standards), but overall it met my expectations. The jokes could have been better, although fortunately most of the stereotypes and parodistic elements were entertaining Razz

MIB3 - 6.5/10 - it was meh. I liked the young K and O. Will Smith was - I dunno, bland?!
Battleship - 6.5/10 - had some funnehs, Liam Neeson was too funny (dafuq?!), Rihanna was ASDKASFAKJJWEASE, and if the movie had this instead of the original sound (not soundtrack, the entire sound should be a loop of this) - it would've been a 9/10 for me. Laughing

Norton overacts so fucking much! Hate this guy.

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Ya I also hate him because how shitty he was in; American History X, Fight Club and 25th Hour Rolling Eyes I will give you, that in Stone he was dialing in his work, Norton with Robert De Niro and they turn out such a shitty and boring movie Sad

Your favorite movie with him I would guess is Kingdom of Heaven - not seeing his face and knowning he has leprosy and will soon die Laughing
