Damn, i must suck pretty hard. Can't defeat diablo on hell difficulty :/ He always manages to hit me even though i run away as soon as he starts doing something. 90% of the time he manages to hit me, and he keeps trapping me in corners in the dark dimension so i die. Playing as Wizard.
so i reached inferno with my barb and im starting to understand all the complaining and raging going on. Its not that its hard, its supposed to be hard. But the item drops as mentioned so many times are just ridiculious. The problem imo is that for melee players, the chance of finding decent gear is alot harder because of the fact that non melee characters are able to equip most weapons etc So the stats are talored for these players, which means that often I find an axe or something else with intelligence on it which as a barb is crap.
At the same time, I as a barb cant equip the ranged characters weapons, so that again stacks against me in terms of finding good loot. Also havent seen any set items at over 100 hours of gameplay.
Hopefully the patch will fix some of this, Im really loving the game. Hell I never play a game more than once but my barb has been going on for close to 50 hours now. Cant wait for pvp.
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

Welcome to inferno. See you in Act 2 in the next patch, because with the current state of the game it's not doable unless you have a way of making crazy money like Yondaime
I'm at 7.5k armour (something like 71% damage reduction), all resistances between 61% and 71%, 41.5K HP and Lacuni warriors still one shot me (about 45k damage on hit). The smaller but faster Lacuni bastards don't one shot me, but with their attack speed their 15k hits still hurt like hell. Find Elite wasps? Run for your life. Find Elite Lacuni warriors? Same shit. And DPS means fuckall in all this, because some of them have a million (!) HP.

Int is boosting resistances, which you need on Inferno. As long as the other stats are useful I wouldn't mind using a weapon with Int on it as a Barb.
The little resistance it gives is a waste over life on hit, extra strength, extra vitality, crit chance, extra crit damage. It's the last stat a barb should look for.
in act 1 inferno mobs already drop over 1k gold 1 out of 5 times with 5 buffs, i saw bunch of those farming videos all different all horribly boring, all netting 20~ k for 10-20 min job which isnt even worth/not fun, doesnt give any real gear, if my crappy magic find geared barb can do act 1 inferno, everyone else can farm it for gear/gold if you need it that much

you're missing the point. this method allows me tab out (game in fullscreen windowed mode) and watch a movie, chat with friends, etc, while making gold.

Man.. calling it a day for now.. Finally finished act 1 inferno, which has gotten quite manageable with gear improvements. Don't really die anymore, even to the fire chain / molten / mortar / shielding / etc packs.
Starting act 2 right after is like running into a brick wall though. Those basic white mortar throwing mobs hit me for 20-25k. Still managed to soldier on and got past Maghda, but those bosspacks were faceraping me even after I switched to a more defensive build (prismatic armor instead of familiar-sparkflint, mirror image instead of diamond skin (21k extra hp doesn't mean crap in act 2, you need distractions)). And even those basic versions of the serpents gave me a hard time.
For a moment I was actually looking forward to slowly but surely becoming able to tackle this stuff.. but then I realized it means I'll have to run jailer/butcher for a week... or continue buying/reselling gear like a madman and buy my way to victory.
Anyone on EU wanna hook up a struggling monk L 60 monk with a good weapon? Getting past act 2 is taking so much that my 770 DPS weapon is practically useless

Bug Fixes

It is no longer possible to skip entire Acts in a multiplayer game
Classes
Barbarian
Active Skills
Fixed a bug that was allowing certain barbarian skills to continuously trigger each other's critical strikes, to the point of causing the player to crash. To address this crash, the following skill and skill rune combinations can no longer be triggered by each other's critical strikes:
Battle Rage (Skill Rune - Bloodshed)
Cleave (Skill Rune - Rupture and Skill Rune - Scattering Blast)
Hammer of the Ancients (Skill Rune - Thunder Strike)
Wrath of the Berserker (Skill Rune - Slaughter)
Followers
Monsters who are charmed by the Enchantress's skill "Mass Confusion" can no longer kill event NPCs
Fucking hate it how A2 is still impossible. Tempted to get a second char up to 60 quickly just so I can farm shit for my barb (because I haven't had something worth selling drop in days either damned) >_<
you should do the entire "the fallen angel" quest , including the warden. He drops the same amount of items as the butcher + you get tons of more blue/yellow mobs in a run. Its not worth to skip through just to kill 1 big boss for his crappy 1-2 rares.

No shit Sherlock, did you take a look at my buffs? I've got 5 valor stacks and I did do the entire quest. Jackshit in drops
I'm gonna start building some magic find gear without gimping myself too much to see if that makes a difference, but as it stands it is just literally impossible for me to farm items for myself. With a bit of luck, once every 5 runs (and with run I do mean an entire Halls of Agony run down to Butcher) I get something that might sell. Considering any worthwhile upgrade is a few million, that'll still take ages and there's no amount of armour that'll protect us from shit like the Lacuni Warriors.
@Werelds:
I would wait for patch 1.0.3 before any serious farming.
Blizzard stated they would somewhat buff drop rate from Act1 and also nerf co-op games.
