I see,thanks.So i fixed the situation just temporaly because i tried to start vanila game with no RGSC profile in My Documents and as i said it crasches at start with multiple errors. So its no because i am a pirate(for now Laughing ) .Games cannot be starte with anything else than THETA crack.Looking forward for this new update than Wink .

Just from curiosity-what if want ti play original game on offline computer.How RGSC will accept my key?

EDIT: But that damn "bug" from GTA IV is still there which reports total VRAM and not actual VRAM so Crossfire and SLI users get a x2 effect which will really mess things up for 4x and higher MSAA at HD resolutions or above. Smile
(4x MSAA still does produce a near 40 up to 50% performance loss at times too which is shown in certain tests, even with 3072 MB of VRAM I wouldn't use it compared to 2x and SMAA though SLI and Crossfire users can probably handle it, particularly 7970's 3GB and the 4GB GT680 or what it's name was again.)


No issues here with crossfire, scaling around 56%/50% usage on both cards runs solid 60 (except for some cutscenes and menu, tends to drop to max 45).

This "bug" you talk about is fucking handy for me.
Because without i would only have 1Gb memory and unable to play at these settings, tho on paper, the game shouldn't run at solid 60 on my pc due to lacking vram wich is ~900mb more then it should be.

Yeah I don't quite know how it works, though it's a bit weird as VRAM in Crossfire and SLI is mirrored per GPU (Which you no doubt know.) so it should be impossible for it to use more than that even if it reports higher but maybe it's either very intelligent with RAM usage in general or it's handled in some different way, I wouldn't know but the same was reported in GTA IV too, for all I know it could even be intended.
(Or RAM/VRAM usage is set a bit higher than it actually is just as a precaution or estimation.)

~50 ~55% scaling seems rather poor but I imagine it's actually due to VSync and it simply doesn't need more to reach the 60 FPS limit, that's pretty good if so. Smile
(Actually that's very good if that's how it is, nicely optimized but that was already established, hah.)

Is there a option for commandline to remove VRAM restriction? What about if i force all settings through commandline ,will it overwrite settings in menu and let me to use more than VRAM that i have?

If it is to me- yes ingame.Create offline profile.At ENTER screen dont hit HOME to open RGSC,press ENTER,That way in RGSC window option for creating offline profile will appear(small sign next to green button)

Well my tought at first was that maybe RAGE uses the vram different and can use both cards as individual vram storage, but this would be physical impossible right?

As for scaling, yea, i got vsync on 60.
I think that this game even runs at solid 60 with just one card and those settings (except those settings are impossible with just 1 card due to vram limit Razz)

Last time I checked, there were no means to create offline profile at all in this game. They force everyone to play with online profiles although you can use them offline after creation, and only Theta crack addresses this for now. Creating online profile doesn't work with it, though.

As i said there is option for that when you press ENTER not HOME button.Maybe it is from THETA crack,cant test others,theta is only way for me to stat the game at all.But somehow i doubt it.Why and how crack will force option in RGSC that are not presented in vanila game but there is interface for it in RGSC?

Just finished it and i LOVED every second of the game.
Second playthrough will happen very soon (and this is something really rare for me to do, so that should say enough).

Too bad i cannot use the FXAA inject, framerate will drop too much Sad

There's a few of them; like real aim assist, then one that slows shit down when the crosshair gets near an enemy, I've got all sensitivities reduced to the absolute minimum (including for my 360 controller because I'm too lazy to unplug Laughing) and it's perfectly fine, perfect 1:1 translation as it should be Smile

The only problem I have with the game is that it runs at anywhere from 200 FPS in-game to 5000 FPS in cutscenes and menus, making my GPU run hotter than hell Cool Face

Afterburner?

It reports the wrong framerate figures for some reason, seems to work in DX9 mode though.
(But yeah I get like ~60 - 90 FPS in-game - down to 50 at times in certain scenes come to think of it - and upwards of 500 FPS in the pre-made cutscenes - VSync doesn't help with those either and they'll still be at really high framerate figures.)

Not sure but of you go to "my documents\rockstar games\maxpayne 3" then you can edit graphics.xml with what ever settings you like. I have done this to enable 2xMSAA because that is the only option I couldn'd amend due to vram restrictions. i simply set MSAA to "2" Smile

The first theta crack did, the reloaded release was just the retail discs. The previous update has to be installed as well.

How do you update the game when I have all the .exe's blocked with the firewall? Do you unblock the .exe's then patch or does the Theta release have the patch.exe??? Very confused....

I only tried it briefly but the mouse movement using the -nomouseaccel was heaps better.

New patch apparently fixes it so I'm going to check it out for improvements.
