The idea of Bryan Fuller's Hannibal series was doing nothing for me, but the casting is shaping up very well indeed. I think Hugh Dancy will make a great Will Graham, and now they've cast Mads Mikkelsen (LeChiffre in Casino Royale) as Hannibal Lecter, I'm definitely going to be giving this a try.
David Slade is directing the pilot, which is very promising, and NBC have announced that all seasons will be 13 episodes long, should it be renewed. This is something I've been hoping would happen in US network TV for years, and I hope other shows follow suit.
No trailer yet, as the series was greenlit without a pilot ever being shot.

Thats pretty much the basis of it, and was also in the novel Red Dragon, so is part of the cannon.

Well that was Hannibal "helping" graham tracking the organ remover killer... but I can see this somehow working if set before that.
But it doesn't seem to be set in the 80's so... a remake of sorts?
