Yes. Actually game crashed before it got to first menu screen.
I figured it had something to do with the "PROFILES" folder (which isn't created until you actually start the game). I made my own profiles folder, and somehow it has stuff in it, as well as the official Rockstar profile folder. Copy and pasted into both; games works but signs-out every few minutes.
EDIT: Also got the wonderful BSOD trying to copy the DLC. Figured it had to do with the content.xml, so did that separately (since that's when system would crash).
I just wanna play game - this thing looks slick as hell. I'm salivating at them transplanting a fraction of the look to GTA V. |

Strangely enough, I get a BSOD every time I try to even access the crack folder. I have to literately go into safe mode to do any of the copying (regarding this game only).
I get the feeling that the current cracks aren't exactly what I would call "stable."

hey,
every time i'm in the game the sc sign out and i go back to man menu i'm sign in again and after a while (most of the time a new cutscene) and go out again
any idea what to do?

Same here rofl. BSOD on crack folder. Had to download separately instead of copying from ISO.

Ugh I'm pretty disappointed. It would be a decent game, even if it is repetitious and the story is bland but idk how it ever connects to anything about Max Payne and that's where it falls on its face for me. I feel like the only thing about Max Payne they kept was the vaguely film noir-ish VO and some slow down time which doesn't feel the same as bullet-time at all.

Wow, so I can safely confirm that you should NOT try to update the game first. It got so bad, I couldn't even uninstall it without getting a BSOD. Even accessing the damn directory would give a BSOD. Had to delete directory, then uninstall (also deleted all Rockstar related registry keys).
I don't know what sort of luck people are getting, but the RELOADED release has some problems. The reloaded crack is really, really unstable.

I updated first, then copy and pasted. That seemed to work.
The only BSOD I was getting was trying to copy and paste the DLC folder.
Also, if you're going to make your own account do so at the beginning. You'll be starting over when you do.
Also, are there subtitles in this game that I am missing?

I turned off bulelttime fx effects.
in old max payne games game was just slowing down when shootdodging. Without any effects. I prefer it this way.

Yeah that seems to happen a lot early on. I'll keep playing of course, and maybe things change, but being forced into cover after a cinematic gets really old really quick. |

I expected Max Payne, not a cover shooter.
Bullet time might as well not even be in the game, you're pretty much encouraged to press Q as often as possible.

It's Max Payne, but not really. I think Ii was expecting too much, not anyone can match Remedy in terms of atmosphere, story and all that. This feels too mainstream.
Still good, but It's missing something that the orginals had.

Is the chapter select supposed to only allow you to choose chapter 1 until you beat the game? Because I'm well past chapter 1 but there are no options for me to select others.

I wish I could say this, but I can't.
Had this install for 3 years straight without any problems what-so-ever. Then, magically, the only files that manage to cause my first BSOD ever with this Windows install ever, come up in the form of those RELOADED crack files. And I'm not the only one.
Just sayin'.

i liked the noir story and the bullet time in the originals...
so... from what I read so far the crack is voodoo and the game is so-so not worth buying for ps3 (i will not deal with that drm crap on my computer) ?
is this worth buying ??
