Great fucking game, oozes atmosphere out of every orifice. I like the Brazil setting, some scenes make me feel like I'm in the middle of Tropa de Elite. Extremely high production values and the game looks fucking amazing, excessive small detail FTW. Runs flawlessy with my puny E8500 and my HD5850. I can't even begin to imagine GTA with this engine. How the fuck can anyone complain abuit teh cutscenes, they're so well done. This is Max Payne goddammit, not some random shooter.

No, totally different. MP1, MP2 and Alan Wake are very similar, but MP3 is entirely different game.
While MP3 isn't anything like the Max Payne we used to know, it's still a mindblowing action game. Highly recommended for anyone who prefers a great campaign over multiplayer.
I'd even tell people to consider buying it, Rockstar deserves money for making a game that goes totally against the current "4h campaign and tons of multiplayer DLC" trend.

I think this is a much more mature game. I didn't think I'd say this, but it's a better game than the previous ones.

It's definitely less cheesy than the old MP games and has a good deal of social criticism, if that's what you mean. Although I never considered the cheesiness of MP as a sign of immaturity, but as homage to the film noir genre.

From a gameplay perspective, I find myself dying less than in the old games, but having more encounters that I barely survive. Less cheap deaths, but more overall challenge and tension - but maybe there will be more cheap deaths later on.

Played a little.

Got bored ... is it just me or the bullet time/cam sucks compared to MP1 and MP2 ?
I really was looking forward the gameplay but I didn't enjoy it to be honest.

Maybe i should give it another try ....

I found myself using bullet time less than in the old games. The whole combat feels totally different, but not necessarily worse.

Yes.
3 times I failed because of some sort of time's up shit.

I like using bullet time, taking cover, exploring, but it seem's like in the first chapters you must run and rush ... I hate this, hopefully next chapters will be different

Seems so from the instructions. Oh well, I'll let it download, but there's no point in installing it now. Sad
