this one is really unique.
The effort, that that fucking guy invested, to fake make believe this mod, probably surpasses the actual time it would have needed to make the damn mod lol.
First, he kept pushing back a date, over like 3-4 years. Always promising a release every 6 months, then pusing it back again and again.
Then he actually made a "Demo". That was extremely funny.
In the files, he had a folder, system hidden, with credits to several other people who actually made the stuff he offered as a "demo" of "his" "mod" lol.
The guy even went to some (turkish, dont judge, not their fault lol) gaming convention thingy, with that demo (which was 100% build with stuff from other modders, remind you) and have some gaming magazine write an article about it (hyping and praising him !).
After a couple years, he actually started to offer "to send the mod burnd on a dvd (remember, back then, people didnt have same speeds as today) for a "mere" fee of 60$ (because thats how much apparantly it costs to send a cd/dvd from turkey to the rest of the world".
Anyway, its one of the most hilarious stories in the history of the internet.
Its unbelievable, what efforts that guys made, do make people believe he did something, that he didnt.
Videos, Demo, sheets, screenshots (hundreds!).
Oh, something to tell your grand children about ^^

Yeah. Every time someone brings up JA and mods together, I can't not think of that conman.
"Just need money for new rig."
"It's just around the corner."
"Any day now."
Text-book case of scam and fraud. Might as well have pitched a free-energy machine or "double-your-mileage" thingamajig for your car. and just like with every scam, he had his handful of loud followers, who praised his ass to heaven and back after he stole a few assets from other mods and quickly thrown together a beta version after things started to get hairy in the community.

nah, that guy was on a whole other level.
Now, couple years later, looking at it with a smile, i think the guy actually EARNED whatever (if) money he was able to scam lol.
The amount of work and effort he put into faking this, was unparalleled lol.

to this day, i remember, when he released a "demo" (short scene on the cloner planet, fight with Bobba Fett).
Nice little, clean, installer.
(winrar self unzip, obviously)
And then the akward moment, when it tells you, that you are about to create a hidden, system protected folder called "credits" ...
and then you check that folder ^^.

that's freaky, when I woke up this morning I was thinking about playing Jedi Knight 2, but I was afraid it would look bad and wondered if they would ever make another one. I guess they heard me.

I mean graphical/texture mods of course. Nothing modifying gameplay.

Those games (jk1,2 kotor) have aged really well. just need some widescreen mods.
