Ouch guys. Luckily it has been fine for me all do, so it must be something to do with one of the global routers and for the first time it's not affecting Norway.

It's alright here as well, nothing out of the ordinary so far. The Hump can really be a strange beast sometimes Razz

It seems there might be a world-wide clog in some of the routes leading to this precious site for some of you.

Do a longer ping,

Code:

ping -n 100 www.nfohump.com

and look at the average roundtrips. Min/Max/Avr should all be around 100ms or less, otherwise you are a victim of the www-clog. Unfortunatley i cant do anything about that. All you can do is wait it out.

Give it a day and let me know if things improve.

I also get 2-3 min loading times and time out now and then. Really strange. Sometimes it is ok, sometimes super slow. sometimes it just times out and i've got to hit F5... Could it be that certain ISPs are semi-blocking nforce sites for some piracy related cause? Or maybe the European heat wave is causing troubles.

Still is strange that it takes a long time, i am probably only 200-300km from the server park away. It's in Holland, right?

For some reason I find this post to be inexplicably hilarious.

Not really needed to create new topic, but since yesterday it seems that (just for this site and forum) my cookies don't get updated properly.
When i watched a topic it still shows it as unread, untill a few topics further then it starts to work again..

But like 85% of the time my read/unread for topic's doesn't get updated.

(i have installed nothing at all, besides MP3, in the past 5 days or so.)

That's been happening to me for quite a while too. It's all good the majority of the time, but sometimes - randomly - a thread will stick as "unread" and no amount of clicking/reading will get it to mark as read. I have to physically go in and delete all cookies related to NFOhump and then that topic will be marked as read again. I figured it was just a Chrome issue :\

Hmm, on my laptop it seems to be working flawless..
Tho install-wise my main and laptop are very much alike (almost all programs i have on main pc are on the laptop aswell).
Only exception with browser, is that this one doesn't have the plugin for the hump.

Could that be causing issues?

Plus the new law is active in the Netherlands, websites ain't allowed to use cookies without giving a CLEAR warning and asking permission before the user visits the website.
Could that be why there is a problem with cookies? Because the site is located here, in the NL, and i didn't get a warning yet.

BTW if you read this mrt, better look into this new law or they might shut you down and a nice fine.

Odd thing is that my laptop updated (main pc's aswell)
On laptop it still is working properly, as they share the same extentions, i really don't know what is fucked up here.
Already gave it a try without a single extention on this pc, but still the same problem.
So it must be something else...

Maybe it's just me but... I find it annyoing that "newest post" in front of the thread always directs to first new post since my last login. What I mean, is:
- I read posts in one thread, move to next one
- someone post something new to my first read thread, forums shows a new post.
- when I hit view "newest post" it directs me to the newest post I read the first time

It could be a bit difficult to follow but I hope you understand what I mean Smile
