Even if they were to make JK3, I just can't picture it being any close to what gems the Jedi Knight Series ( except Jedi Academy ) used to be.. Force Unleashed.. AAAAAAAA

What was wrong with Jedi Academy, in your opinion?
It basically was Jedi Outcast, with dual-blades/dual-sabers added into it. The SP campaign was nowhere near ( I'm being kind, the first missions were ok-ish but the rest quickly dropped to dangerous levels ) the excellent one from Jedi Outcast. The scenario was very weak, imo. The MP had only the Siege mode added, it was buggy as hell and nobody played it. The rest was here before.
Very little was added, it just basically felt like Jedi Outcast 1.1, not a proper sequel at all.
Of course the multiplayer was good, but it already was good in JO
I'm still playing the great MovieBattles II conversion which runs on Jedi Academy, so I'm grateful for that at least
I really disliked all the combos they added into Jedi Academy, as opposed to Jedi Outcast. The multiplayer in JO was perfect, not a whole lot of moves you had to watch out for, incredibly rewarding saber combat, whereas in JA it seemed way too chaotic with the dual sabers and saber staff added into it. IIRC Jedi Outcast only had 3 combos in it, one for each saber style, which was more than enough.
This is strictly speaking from a gameplay / multiplayer point of view though. I had a blast in JK: JA when i encountered my first dual light saber enemy hopping about in a rather small room trying to stay alive ^_^.

It will probably be a first person shooter this time, since they already recently explored the 3rd person perspective with The Force Unleashed. It will be linear and guided, and with mandatory competitive multiplayer with perks. And DLCs.
This may actually turn out to be good news, yet. A new Jedi Knight would have been awesome, but there are other satisfying possibilities. Of course, it may just as well turn out to be something as shitty as Force Unleashed 2 was, but until E3 at least, we DO have some hope that it won't.

Option B would a no-go since they have swtor and fails hard. I would say option c is the case here.
I recently had a marathon replaying the whole steam jedi knight pack (Minus the crappy jedi academy that has shit single player). Kyle katarn is a fucking epic character. I can't believe they don't wanna use him again.
