That Skyrim comparison is silly, because Skyrim uses the same developers. LA Noire doesn't, it was developed by Team Bondi (have you ever LAUNCHED the game and see the Team Bondi logo ?) with their own in house engine.
Then there is this rumor about Rockstar scrapping all Team Bondi's work, including their in-house engine, and giving them on a silver platter the RAGE engine... Dunno where that rumor came from, but it sure is logical

Quote: | One sizeable difference is in the way foliage is treated on both platforms. The 360's heavy-handed use of an edge-detection algorithm affects the appearance of plants quite drastically, giving their flourishes a fuller, darker look. By comparison, close-ups show individual leaves on PS3 to be noticeably more thinned-out - sometimes to the point of invisibility from certain angles, where their details are somehow thinner than the pixels in place to represent them. |
Keeping the "Remember, no grass" tradition on the DS3 I see

I would also think that but no way. I am playing my 360 on my 226bw monitor. pc is connected with dvi cable and 360 with vga.
I am always surprised with game screenshots like the one I posted. It looks a step worse than it actually looks when I am playing it.
Still... 1280x720games wtih 4xaa are like rare stone on cosnoles... I think only The Darkness and Chronicles of Riddick sport that settings
need to get new monitor tho.. that 226bw have some serious backlight going on

i played through this on PS3 (didnt notice the light bug in the pic above, bug maybe?) and i have the PC version preordered.
dudes. worry not. this game looks great, feels great, plays great. has a lot of cutscenes though, might not be good with some but it is what it is. obviously some bugs occasionally, its a rockstar game. as tight as the movement is, sometimes it shows that it is a rockstar game. things will happen you dont want them to, some occasional euphoria spazzing (which is actually hilarious sometimes)
but its good, and i have some minor faith that they did the pc port right

Agreed. It is unlikely you are playing the game in still motion or with your face pressed against the screen.
