Im desperately looking for a video creation tool to make a little promotional video for my youtube chanel.
Just a little slideshow of text,with various effects, for introduction.
For example, i found people on fiverr that can do it for me,but i dont want to pay and i would like total control

Ive read that adobe premier can do that,or after affects,but can't find a solid tutorial .

Uhhh there are a million tutorials out there for after effects (which is for effect shizzles, premier is for cutting). I heard sony vegas is easy to use and comes with a lot of video presets.

So to make a slide show promot video i would need both effects and premier ? Pff, can't one of them do a simple thing as that ?

you don't need vegas.
just go to videocopilot. look at the tuts, download project file, and adjust it to do your things. very easy. i managed to do a couple things from watching a few tuts. you can also find a dozen sites that allow you to download illegal copies of professional templates and then just use them. Most templates / tuts / project files have dropzones for pictures. So it's super easy.
You'd only need vegas if you're going to edit a movie by itself. ae is good for everything else, you can even edit a movie in a very very rough manner.
