It's pretty easy why the prices are going up

The CEO's know it's inevitable that they will run out of the oil soon enough and with the 10 year project to get all/most cars running off of electric or fuel cell they are just trying to fill there pocket while they can. Oil will soon be a luxary and we will all pay heavy prices for it. I am sure it will go up and down like always to give a little hope to consumers but it will always be above 2bucks a gallon now. Maybe if there were less gas station's there would be a lot less overhead because seriously there are 5 or so gas station's within a 3 block radius of my appartment. Competition is also driving up prices as well. Now as much as the gas companies greed though

Confused

1. The CEOs simply run the company. The shareholders are the only ones who would financially gain from your theory.

2. Competition drives prices down.

3. Considering the scale/size of the oil industry a few extra gas stations are going to have zero impact on the price of fuel - especially when most are franchises and they make around 0.01% on the actual fuel they sell.

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

Now thats a huge generalization.

I drive 2005 F150 ..um V8 4.6Litre .. 120 litre tank.
I ride a 2004 CBR 1000 RR . Its a bike i know. But tacking it i only get 150km to a tank.

In Canada..we have nothing to whine about.. look at all the high rates around the world. Are gas is very cheep. Even if your an easterner.

[On-topic]

And Opec really controls the price. They are the largest Oil consordium in the world. CEO have really nothing to do with it. Supply and demand, and Opec has the biggest supply.

All oil is Crude. There is heavy crude and light crude. Light crude yeilds more valuable hydrocarbons = more gas, exspensive solvents etc.

I'd disagree that just because you own a gas guzzler that you have any more right to bitch.

you don't have any more rights then us to whine about that shit, what you do have tho, is the option to switch that ozone-raping gas-oholic machine for a moped. or even worse, a 1989 Ford Fiesta. Razz

yea..around 1.20 € here...BUT the fact that public transport (bus, trains etc.) cost so much also - we use cars = easier and MUCH better way to go from place A to place B ..as there is me, my wife and our son + sometimes our dog....

We have 2 cars - "my" car (shitty japan car ) + wife car (shitty france car Very Happy). The GOOD thing is that her car is so called "leasing" car...dunno how to say it - so her company pays the fuel - so in 1 way - fuel dosen't cost anything for us Smile The SHITTY thing is that her car is so small that whole family + dog doesnt fit there..so sometimes we much use "my" car...not so often tho.

jeez whas with the price jumps?? u know i wouldn't mind the prices going up slowly... but wtf, i wake up its 76.9.. go to work, during work it jumps to 90, then comes to 85... goes to 78.. back down, up down up down.. i mean WTF how much does the market and supply and demand change during one day??

how much of this is profit taking??? i mean i just cannot see such SUDDEN jumps in demand... this is horrible... i'm buying a car next month, just got the loan stuff worked out, but now i'm scared shit less of how much gas it would eat compared to my shit box right now which is VERY VERY good on gas and yet it still costs a fair bit for me since i travell alot....

this is getting silly.
