If you liked the originals, don't get the game. Avoid it like cancer.
Maybe if your taste has heavily declined with age, you might be able to enjoy this pos. This is not a Remedy game, it is Rockstar all over the place. Like all the familiar dribblings of diarrhoea the company produces, for some it may still feel pleasantly warm but for others that shit has grown awfully stale with age.
For those who feel the sudden urge to refute my claim, before you even open your mouth... Max Payne hanging drunk upside down on a helicopter shooting RPGs out of the air with an UZI.

In the old games, you would enter a room yourself, and then kill everybody will bullet-time. In MP3, they have to mask the loading times, so every single time you change a room you get a cut-scene which drops you right in the middle of the room, often with enemies already alert to you. I would have preferred to have it as one large levels without all these cutscenes, they really annoyed me. "Oh he is walking through a door, let it show us from 4 different perspectives and stupid light effects."
About regenerating health: (At least on medium difficulty) if you keep dying in the same spot, after some tries you will find that magically some painkillers appear in your inventory, or you will get more if you have some already. So yeah, that's their workaround for that.

haters gonna hate... don't see why people will use so much energy to spread their hatred towards a game that obviously the majority of people like.

i finished the game 3 days ago and loved it, no bugs found in my jtag, dont know what are you guys talking about. now waiting for dragon dogma to have something good to play.

Just got my pre-order copy for xbox360...
I had many many doubts since this game was announced by rockstar , 3 years ago...
I just started playing, and my doubts have disappeared...
what a fantastic game! Nice job Rockstar!
