If i could afford it i would probably buy one to! Dont whine about the children in africa, the guy is a self made man and has the right to enjoy himself as he see fit, and for you information Bill Gates has given $28.8 billion
to charities since january 2000. How much have you spent on the children in africa?
Put a sock in it will ya!

dude, i'd have a nice boat too
but that fuckin big?
really, how many ppl does the guy know?
and my bad bout bill gates if thats true
Actually, since 2002, ive donated, roughly, $6000 to the effort in africa
thats not much, but its as much as I can afford being a blue collar guy
Dont whine about the children in africa? Honestly man, I could write an essay based on that one remark but suffice to say, its completely offensive and straight up indecent to say something like that. Maybe if we had less ppl like urself and more like me and others who are like minded, those kids wouldnt be starving for no fuckin reason. Really man, I cant believe u'd say something like that.
3million ppl are estimated to die this month alone in niger because of starvation....completely tasteless remark man, disgusting

And they will all die beacuse of Bill Gates then?
The biggest reason children are dying from starvation in africa is because of corrupt regims stealing aidmoney that never reaches those who need it if you want to make a difference you should donate yor mone to organisatons like the UN that put preasure on these regimes!
Whining about children starving in third world countries doesent help them nor does bitching about a rich guys boat! He can afford it, he bought it its his choice!
You shouldnt get all worked up about it since he still donates billions of dollars to charity to! People starving is no reason for him to stop living the life he has earned to live.
I've been to africa and the root of the problem is hardly money, since a lot of these counties have oil, diamonds and gold etc!
The root is as stated previuos: The regims that bleed their on countries dry and dont give a shit about their fellow man since they know ppl like you will send more money. Even the educated africans themself thinks that aid money and debtreduction isnt the right way to go as it totaly strips these countries from their responsibilitys to produce even a fucking potato!
And i for one is tired of hearing everybody whine about it and thinking that money will solve all the problems in africa!
And yes! Me and the GF donates money to!
And yes i also have a boat and a big house and a really fast and expensive car, and i dont feel guilty at all!
Of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most!

Yeah, donating money makes you a saint.
LOL
Some people think they are better because they give money "to starving Africans".
I admire those who volounteer to go over there and help in hospitals, etc. - those who put their own necks at the line.
Typing in an amount on a screen, or filling a paper with digits doesn't make you a hero, if you boast about it it makes you a self-important prick.
Fine! Donate! Just shut the fuck up about it.
Damn Jehova-attitude.

But apart from travelling there to work on a mission, there isnt much more i can do
and ollax...I bet u have the biggest e-biceps too right? lol
Im not saying dont enjoy ur money
But when ur boat is like 5 times the size of any huge house and such, I think it gets a bit excessive

i couldn't agree with ollax more... i love self made millioner ( billioners) s and i say let them go NUTS... specially bill gates who helps, ALOT to people... i would say this though.... you have the best boat around, why own 2 more?? and a boat that big wit hall that staff, it jsut doesn't feel comfy, but then again i would own one for deep sea research which i LOVE...
i give money to 2 charities, but i don't blame millioners for going nuts either.. i blame governments and not the people who got where they are for being smart and spending wisely...sure it could help alot of kids if he spent that money on rations, BUT why stop there, why not just hand in all ur money to help people andj sut keep a house and a car for yourself and stuff..
i mean i understand your arguement about the boat being an overkill and have 3 is just an insult, but its his life and wealth, who are we to bitch at him right??
well sorr yguys but that' how i look at things...

Why the fuck does every discussion involving wealth always get reduced to "poor kids in africa"?! Yes, they're fucking poor. Yes, they fucking starve. But if you send more money over there, their governments are going to keep pushing the bleeding hearts button to milk more money from the "charities". Therefore you holier-than-thou pricks are donating $6000 a year to support the same kind of lifestyle you condone here, except with stolen money instead of hard-earned wealth. That isn't to mention the fact that AIDS and other diseases are consuming the entire damned continent. Or is that the fault of people who don't go soft and give half their paycheck to the noble cause of buying some dirty politician an extra Porsche?
As ollax pointed out, at the moment the "poor" countries are just getting billions pumped into them, and those billions are going to shit. To nothing. If donating $500 billion to a country leaves that country just as poorly off as it was before those $500 billion, what the fuck is the point of donating? I say, fuck Africa. Not the nations and definitely not the people, but I would thoroughly like to rape your concept of Africa. Do you know what Africa needs? JOBS. Not aid. Not fucking free lunch. EDUCATION AND JOBS. Once you create that and remove the shitty government, the country restores itself. Slowly, painfully, but steadily. What is pumping food and money into Africa doing? It's creating the current primary job in Africa: STANDING IN LINE. Yes, standing in line waiting for an ever-shrinking ration of crappy, free, food to be handed to you. NOT working, NOT educating yourself or others, NOT leaving the fucking area FFS. WAITING FOR ANOTHER HANDOUT. And as long as there will be handouts, there will be those who primarily rely on them. Do we need money in Africa? Yes. Do we need bleeding hearts buying small rations of shitty food? no. We need people willing to establish business of any kind there. Textile, manufacturing, I don't give a fuck. Build a factory, give people jobs, pay them. That is how you help Africa. Not by sending $6000 to a corrupt government and writing your fucked up, half-assed conscience off for another three years.
This is not a flame, merely my opinion, and a summarization of opinions before mine that I agree with.

There will (sadly) always be haves and have-not`s. This may sound harsh but the world physicaly and economicly could not support them if they became more developed, there is a reason there is a lack ofl jobs there. They dont exist, so to bring jobs there you would be taking jobs from somewhere else (Not saying thats a bad thing). The last thing the world needs right now is another country like China, booming like crazy. The world cannot support this development and losses will have to be taken somewhere else in the world. With the case of China, the USA will incure the majority of the loss (In the long run). We need to look at the big picture.
I feel these are the hard and bitter facts of this world we live in. Now ill wait for some Socialist to tear me a new one. LOL
Three of those boats though is a little excesive though. Think hes trying to make up for something.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head when speaking of structured investment rather than purely throwing money at'em. Our governments have always been aware of this but it would not be in Europes best interest to 'really' help them. In fact we tend to spend our time selling them weapons and supporting the 'leecher' dictatorships. There's a reason for this - as SoSBigperm points out - for one to be rich, anoter must be poor. Think about it. Can everyone on this planet be rich? would it work? Of course not. Who would be the maid, clean the toilets etc? Another preventative measure put in place to stop certain countries in Africa prospering are the sanctions on trade (+ the heavily subsidised foods that we send over there). How many African products do you see in the supermarket, etc?
Personally, I'd like to see certain African countries withdrawing from trade altogether (similar to what the states did previously) and thus being forced into becoming self sufficient to enable them to trade on their own terms. This approach must be done before it is bled dry of resources of course.
As for the yacht, nice. Wouldn't go that far if I was a billionairre, unless I speant a LOT of time yachting, which I wouldn't. Then again, I have no experience of being a billionaire so perhaps I'd make a bigger one
If I were rich, Social interaction would be the rule of thumb. I would like to live a life of parties, both locally and abroad, + going to the gym as much as possible. My only concern would be my potential lack of discipline. Wouldn't want to end up like scarface (all crazy & sh*t, with a mountain of coke in front of me).
Enjoy life, have lots of children, make ppl happy, make others sad - that'll be my motto
