Do you not have any armor equipped or something? I've died twice, im towards teh end of act2. Either way if you die a lot you obviously need to craft items that give you + vit. And use the passive skill that gives you more health orbs.

And I am doing normal difficulty, damn I must suck if I need all this healing Very Happy

I have seen on a popular image board work being done to get the single player part of Diablo 3 running in Warcraft 3 as a mod? Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? I am not sure if blizzard would be too happy with this and putting so much work into having to be online to play DRM.

You guys think..enough people will QQ all over the world for Blizzard to remove their DRM "always online"??...probably not a slight chance?

not a single chance in hell, because is not a drm. they will probably kill and shutdown diablo before making availible mini 127.0.0.1 servers.

i dont give a fuck about people ratings.
i'm one the most bittered gaming vets, and i'm having a blast in diablo 3. beside logins problems, which are fixable by adding horse power (in case is not a limitation of db) diablo is one of in the top games in my book. xcom/dungeon keep still on 1' and 2' position.

Its a strange choice and if blizzard are aiming to appeal the casual gamers who might not know all that much about diablo one wonders why they decided to do a singelplayer game requiring internet connectivity.
personally this isnt an issue as the isps in sweden are very reliable and we have fast connections, myself on a 100/10 mbit connection. But alot of people might not have an uncapped connection and also might not even be aware of the fact that this game requires online connectivity.

Time will tell, slightly off topic but I created a monk and played up until the skelly King before realising my char was created on the american servers Sad dont want to replay the "beta" segment again so Ill just stick with my "american" monk for now...
This might also be an issue though, because I didnt get a chance to choose servers and it defaulted to the americas for me.

Obviously, I have armor equipped. I just don't get lucky when it comes to those stupid orbs dropping. And I do have the passive skill for more orb drops, plus health regen stuff and vitality stuff. So I dunno. Heh.

The "Online only" is NOT a drm measure. Its because d2 was (is) so full of hacks and dupes and cheats, which are almost all coming/made from SP/OpenBnet.

While i can see, that it sucks for a VERY TINY MINORITY of people, who fall in the category of

1. Play Solo only
2. Have crappy internet

(being in both circles is really slim to none, say what you want).

I prefer this being handled as it is.

It will reduce the cheating/hacking to a minimum (like in a MMO).

yeah you might be right - still the thing that D3 (sequel of for me SP game i love) acts like sort off MSORPG makes me sick Sad And if its DRM or not doesnt count although i know it is sort of DRM - kinda curious if cheaters find a way Wink My guess is that they WILL find a way

Yeaaaaah, to be honest, that last bit isn't really true. Just WoW is a game that is almost too easy to hack and mess with, even without getting caught.

It'z a LAZY way to try and solve hacking and pirating in one go, don't try and get it to something else.

I played beta (closed) and was going to pirate it to see if the full game was worth my bucks, now that I can't pirate it that is a game not bought.

You can change the servers at the login-screen. I had the same thing, defaulted to the american servers but changed it so now I'm on the EU ones Smile
