I completely agree! I don't think anyone who bought the game is complaining about the price/enjoyment ratio, just that the price IS higher than every other retail PC game. That's the point and it's a fair one. In the end; the game is fucking ace and - so far - worth the money.

Did Blizzard do the whole 'start edition' code thing whereby they give a code out so a friend can play the game for 30 days (sort of like a demo).
I've never played any of the Diablo games so not idea if I'd like them but literally everyone is talking about it therefore it's kinda caught my eye a little.

i hope someone knowledgeable can answer my question.
I want to play the sp of diablo 3 and iam ofc willing to buy it but atm my circumstances dont allow me to have a fast internet connection. I kinda have only 10 kb up and downstream if i use my mobile as modem (unlimitied trafic though).
So my question is if i would get the boxed edition of diablo would that be enough to play the sp? And if i get the boxed edition will i be forced to dl any kind of data ? Or can i just install from dvd?

you wil need to download data from time to time.
game is patched regulary.
problem with your mobile may be the latency, not the speed itself.

Yes, boxed copies come with 2 free guest passes to the game - you can play indefinitely, but only up to the Skeleton King (a third of the way through Act1) and at Lv13 cap. You also can't party with non-guest players.
After 30 days from launch, everybody can have free Starter Editions.
@lametta:
You can just install from DVD... but, since it's an online game, you'll be subject to mandatory patches if/when they're release. I also don't know if 10KB/s is enough to stream the mob/npc/quest data reliably and to give you a good experience.
