epic battle, thx for the link. I didn't get chance to try WvW pvp in the last beta weekend. I only realised how to join the World pvp with just couple hours of the beta left but after seeing this vid I will definitely be trying it on the next beta Smile any ideas when that will be yet btw??

The stress test will be only 7-8 hours and a day(well that depends on the timezone) before the release of D3. I dont see a problem with this.

Im from Europe myself, not really interested in Diablo, but I thought(or last heard) they will launch the servers 15th may around 09:00 CET. Just checked tho, and apparently the events overlap for the eu region.
Well, that means some of you will have a choice to make.

Considering D3 will be live build and GW2 will be beta built it could very well be the other way around. Smile

At least it's not overlapping D3 for too long, just around 3 hours.

Well having a "Release" or a "Beta" build, does not have anything to do with that 5 Milion players wants to connect to 2-3 login servers at the same time, and basicaly DDoS the shit out ot them.

Server side games with huge numbers of players wanting to play it from first second there will always be laggy and DC(y) behaviour, untill someone think about some clever new Technique how to overcome it.

Meanwhile found this topic on page 4, time to bump it. So an eight hour stress test on Monday. My guess 3 hours of not being able to login and 5 hours of crashing and disconnects.

are you saying that stress test will be without stress? you realize this is the test to crash servers as many times as they can

And that makes it different from the BWE how exactly? (disregarding the shorter timespan)

They aren't sending the emails (yet) which could indicate that players that don't follow the game closely won't know about the stress test, so there will probably be less people than in BWE.
They actually don't need that many people, just enough to populate few servers so they can get enough data.

I really like Diablo 3. I'd say it's as much kid's game as is GW2. Just look at some heart quests in beginner area. Feeding cows, really? Very Happy Nonthe less both games are awesome, especially Guild Wars 2 gets so much better after you get into it. I especially liked second human area (Kessex Hills). Didn't have much chance to thoroughly explore other races' areas.

I dont really want to spoil the PvE and DEs too much before release :X And i dont like PvP that much (generaly, not in GW2), so i will probably do WvW for few hours before D3.

Spoil? How can you spoil the game if you play it yourself? I'll most likely play in same zomes as in BWE but with different class. Probably gonna try guardian or elementalist. Human starting areas are really good, and I feel I barely explored those two areas, even though I spent there majority of my time (35 hours played in the BWE).

Well in my opinion, the more time you spend at BWEs, the less time you spend in Released game, thats what i dont really like, so i just play few hours of BWEs to look what they updated/ stuff that wont spoil the game for me Smile

I hate the player movement/control in this game. It's like my character is on the end of a long stick or something. I can't really explain it. It feels truly awful though
