While I did quite enjoy the beta, the fact that it's online-only, un-moddable and expensive as hell (Naziblizzard-style) put me off completely.

Played some warcraft a few years back and that was it.

Diablo 2 was SOOOooOOOoooOOOoo repeatetive man... And story was crap to me... But everyone loved the hell out of it... Never understood why... Besides needing a new mouse after a few hours of play I didn't see anything cool about it

You really haven't been following the drama surrounding D3? Wow! Naw man, it has single-player -- but you still have to be online to play it as the game gets all the information from Blizzard's servers. You have the client (audio, visuals, etc) on your machine but the database, such as mob info/locations and loot drops are all server-based, just like MMOs.

Understandable, I guess, nobody likes being screwed over .. but at least AW-PC is a great port and was self-funded by Remedy; which shows that they obviously do care -- and the American Nightmare "expansion" is coming out in a week, which is pretty damned quick after the 360 version.

Didn't like Alan Wake either.
I liked Diablo, not so much Diablo 2.
Still on the fence for Diablo 3.

Pros: Love the setting, storyline- I think I read almost every lore book I could find on the net, characters and distinctive gameplay for each class, and I love hoarding loot Very Happy
Cons: Costs 20 euros more than Max Payne 3, the merging of single player and multiplayer is the main problem I have with the game. On principle I don't buy games that require a constant internet connection(other than mmo's, obviously) so I'm most likely not gonna buy it. I may have relatives gift it to me for my birthday.
