Failing how? The "fire is still falling" message or something else? If it's something else, remember that you need to delete your Battle.net folder if you played the beta.

1 serial = 1 account = 1 login
alltho in old bnet games (d2, wc3, sc) you could use 1 login per region.

That won't work until global play is enabled, so if you want to play it right at launch use the client from the same region as your account.

I like that the game costs the same no matter where you live. Eastern Europe has had dirt cheap games for years and now they have to pay like the rest of us and whine. I dont care about lower wages either since the cost of living is far lower too.

I just want Polish Language pack, not to play in EU region.
So I cannot do that?

I don't see why it shouldn't be possible. Afaik the installers are just language packages and not different clients, like WoW used to use. Also US is starting 9h later than EU, if global play would matter, which I doubt.

Your game language and interface will remain the same when you change regions. If you purchased the full-language version of Diablo III, you will be able to play in all available languages in all regions. To play in a different language, you will first need to download the Diablo III game client for that language from Battle.net. |

That's from a blue post, if the polish client defaults for EU region (at least the enGB one did in beta), you won't be able to log to US at all until they enable it.

only restriction is for rmah, thats locked to your adress in your battle.net account. So while you can play in another region, you cant buy or sell items for real money there. iirc.

Quote: | Global Play Launch Time
We’ll be turning on Global Play when the game has launched in all regions. This means that you will not be able to play in a region outside your home region until after the Americas’ midnight launch at 12:01 a.m. PDT on May 15. We’ll provide an update once Global Play is enabled, and you’ll then be able to change the region you connect to through the game’s options. |

Also make sure you enable the following service,
Secondary Logon
as well as enable User Account Control, then as frogster already suggested, delete the folder Battlenet from the directory C:\Program Data\ and run the setup again, this fixed the problem for me. When all goes well you should see the installer come up with the message 'The fire is still falling from the sky' or something.

Is there a lot of loading in Diablo III? Enough to warrant a spot on the coveted SSD team? |
Aside from the new places, which is loaded while you play, and monsters which you encounter for the first time, there is nothing to bother even an old HDD. The textures are pretty low res and models are low poly. SSD is a killer for this game.

As in not a lot of textures that needs to be loaded every time you go through a portal or something. A game like Skyrim would benefit from an SSD disk, whereas I doubt Diablo III would. Is that precise enough for you? I haven't played D3 myself yet hence me asking.
