yeah! brian lara is comin on 21st.
but it is protected by starforce. So I guess it is not going to be released on the scene just like all the other codemasters games.
thats why I am going to preorder brian lara 2005 tomorrow.
I tired both the demos . EA's 2005 is just too much. it is soo slow animations etc...totally unrealistic. and they just made it harder whereas...cricket is a game which I play on the bus. Its supposed to be fun
brian lara demo is awsome. it has everything ever desired. the only major problem is lack of front foot and backfoot shot selecton. there is also no advance shot. the cpu does the selections for you depending on the length. hopefully they make a patch.

cricket 2005 was just a waste of bandwidth. I read the EA guy's interview on how they have improved the game from last year. Now I know he was on crack, probably was talking abt BLC w/o realizing it. Theres not one good thing worth mentioning in cricket 2005, if anything it has just taken the franchise to a new low. It is appalling that EA puts out such horrible cricket games while they do a masterful job on American sports games; why even NCAA Football which is based on college level football is a better game than this PoS. Guess its all money after all, cricket is a game that sells in countries like India and Pakistan where 90% of software is pirated. Europe and N. America where more people buy games, cricket is not of interest. So put minimal effort and gain maximum.

Hey everybody,
I have the game - EA sports cricket 2005....
I copied the game from my friend's original...It wouldn't copy using NERO so i copied all the files from the cd to the HDD...then gave the cd the same label and copied them back from my HDD...
The game doesn't work !!!!!!!!
I guess i need a no cd crack....it's being protected by safdisc 4.0001
I can upload the game wherever asked to if somebody could remove the protection since i got no knowledge abt coding...

AFAIK, the game won't run without a CRACK even if you copy with clone-cd or sth else.
Come on crackers, give us a crack. Is it too difficult to crack this game?

Why don't u crack it yourself? Or did u ever think in buy it? If u want it so bad.
Cricket is a minor sport (wheter u want it or not, it's the true), so this is not a priority.
I like cricket but i've to admit that 75% of the world doesn't.

I wouldnt say its a minor sport, the only continent that doesnt play the game is america which has baseball.

Don't make me say the good things about cricket and the actual reason why you guys don't like this game. I'm not here for that.
However, I'm a huge cricket fan and if there were any CD shop here, there is nobody who could stop me from buying the original copy of this game and unfortunately I cannot order online. So since I've got nothing else to do, I'm just waiting for the crack.

first game score 18/10 in xbox, 22/8 in pc
guess being a WSAD user, its kinda tough to get used to the opposite control scheme. I am always pressing the WSAD key first and then getting at the arrow keys which I never use except for racing games.
On topic, the clonecd works fine, just mount in daemon and play like it says. cant wait to try out BLC2005 when it comes out...good work Mirror

persistence pays, finally won my first game, SA 78/10 in 23 ovs, India(me) - 79/4 in 5.4 ovs. 8 sixers in my innings. Bowling is so easy in this one and batting, once you get the hang of it is a piece of cake. The pc version is much better than the xbox version because its so playable. BTW I am playing on medium difficulty so gonna see if hard makes it any tougher.

Yeah, if medium is that easy for you, you should try the hard mode.

I already uninstalled this. I can;t believe how stupid EA are making cricket. I knicked one behing my legside to my boundry. next ball I do the same thing...tis almost similar but the wicketkeeper slides on ground and catches it...I mean...his feet without moving slide on ground...its as if the feilders skate. players look horrible. thats rugby players damn EA..!!!
I am just going to wait for my preordered BLC2k5. that is a wicked game.

I kinda like this game?
It's buggy, it's glitchy, it's very rough around the edges and I question how realistic it actually is - but as Cricket games that are up to date go this doesn't seem so bad to me.
I enjoyed playing it anyway.
Takes a while to get comfortable in batting, you need to work out timings for each shot - and bowling seems a little too difficult to pull off - but as I say, it's quite entertaining for myself.
I'm not a cricket fan though.

Okay I played the demo of Brian Lara Cricket 2005. I'm well impressed and it casts a shadow over EASports' effort no doubt - unfortunately both games do things well and you can't help but wish the two were combined.
BLC is much better made, more professional, more slick - there isn't any rough edges here - it looks, feels, sounds and moves brilliantly.
It does play fairly arcade like though, and EA sports' game feels a bit more geniune at times, more realistic overall even though it's pretty shoddy in physics and movement et al in comparison.
It's hard to explain.
BLC is the better game though by far.

Heres how bowling can be way too easy;
use your fast bowlers; right arm bowlers are very effective against left hand batsmen and vice versa. Always bowl the outswinger; this is the ball that moves from the leg to the off. Set the ball marker right in front of the batsman's toes, dont move it any further close to the bat or its a sixer. Let the ball meter fill up just under half before bowling, and there you have it, clean bowled. The game has become very boring now. Even at hard difficulty I get the opp. team all out for under 20-30 runs and I go on to score 300-400 runs which makes the results totally unrealistic. Waiting for BLC.
