So,one only needs Arma 2 OA to play this? Im tempted to buy it but not sure,last time i tried to play Arma 2 it felt like Frankenstein-Simulator 1.5

No, you need Combined Ops. You can however use ArmA 2 Free along with a bought Arrowhead to get Combined Ops Lite. It will work if you don't mind the terrible textures.

A bought OA on top of a legit Arma 2 (not the free one) should do the trick,or am i totally wrong here.Got Arma 2 for 0€ a while back on GMG when they had that promo.
Not sure if that would work if i buy OA on steam and try to mix them

Considering that's exactly what Combined Ops is, yes.
None of the DLC is required, but the PMC one is recommended if you don't want terrible textures on the player models.

It might, my buddy has ACE working in some aspects.
In regards to server space, the mods popularity is out-growing the server spaces! more people are renting daily, maybe a humpz server if this mod gets popular  |

i bought my arrowhead cd-key digitally.
the problem is, there's no 1.6 crack for OA
any ideas ?

umm, register key with steam maybe?
Or, GOG download, D2D download, maybe even a mini-iso image from someplace like megagames |

Played a bit, took quite a bit of trying to get into a low ping server, they are packed instantly if a slot frees up.
Spawned on a shore, rain pouring down heavily. Ran into the woods, killed a boar, but without a knife, I couldn't harvest it. Ran around for quite a while, before I found a road. Started following it, arriving in a town filled to the brim with zombies. Found a few items in one of the houses, but nothing really useful. A few flares, couple of crossbow bolts and a soda. Went out, two zombies jumped me, killed them, had to use a bandage to stop the bleeding. Tried to look into other houses, then quite a few of them started chasing me, used up all my ammo, and ended up with one of them following me constantly, ran a few kilometers before I gave up. No ammo, no civilization in sight, might as well be a snack than a bored runner.
Will keep an eye on this.

i don't believe a digitally bought cd-key for retail game applies to steam.
there's shortage of torrents for OA so i'l check with mini-iso, thanks.

With the 1.60 doesnt start the game?? Dont remember whe, but with some patch its not required to put the dvd on the drive, just need an original serial.

Me and a buddy found a stream of a player on twitch.
needless to say we lol'd so hard when the grenade we threw nearly took him and his buddy out.
The rage on the stream was epic. I was called a nerd virgin, a greasy nerd virgin.
Then I shot him in the face.
It was well deserved, he was sniper camping the military camp up north and killing everyone who came near 
Another time me and a friend were in the wilderness, checking out some ruins, thought we were alone... we weren't!
A couple rounds sorted that boy out though, and he was packing heat, we got an m16, m4a2-CCO (Flashlight and RDS) and a butt load of mags, and 2x frags.
We waited for him to come back because we found his tent, he didn't 
So we looted it, and put flares all around it.
If only there were booby traps in this game!

It's less - being a dick - and more "Survival of the Fittest"
I can pretty much guarantee i'll get killed by some sniping camperfag tomorrow - someone who has camped an item spawn point for 20hrs straight.
Me and my friends are a roaming group of bandit/survivors, we never camp, unless it's to repair a vehicle |

should you not like the mod or arma, i am a heavy arma player and would appreciate if spare keys ( especially for operation arrowhead ) could be donated to me. i have a brother who only has original arma and i would like to get him to play with me. thanks.

I presume if I installed ARMA2 into my OA folder that it is the wrong order and that I should install OA second. So that would mean a complete reinstall of both games. |
If you check the arma forums there is a way of running it as CO. in tHe form of a bat script. I'm on a train so cab looking for ir. but it's there.
Look at the beta patch instructions. |
