Alright let's see. So far, no weapon aside from Assault Rifle and the Pistol have a sound when firing. Shotgun, MP5, no sound at all. The game is quite bland and generic. The only good thing is the Raccoon City and some stuff that you see from it in new graphics.

Edit: Now the assault rifle lost sound too. Also, story makes no sense. Both Alpha and Bravo teams who came after Birkin and G-Virus were killed by Birkin and only Hunk escaped, yet you, the Bravo team, continue on.

Edit2: Ok after the first mission it makes more sense now. Nice to see how it all began with the Raccoon City outbreak and all that.

I wanted to try the first level but the game is stuttering like crazy from the main menu itself. I'm on a GTX 275 using the latest non-beta drivers (296.10) which is odd because SFxT worked great. Someone have any ideas why this is happening?

1 and 2 are still amazing.

I have that sound issue too, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a day 1 update via LIVE (Or Steam since it's coming out on that platform too.) but that's just a guess.

No stuttering though, performance is pretty good even without a game profile though some areas see a performance drop with a lot of action going on.
(One room was full of those licker creatures and fire and other stuff, looked cool though.)

Have you tried the latest beta drivers?
(301.34 or .24 I believe the latest one is mostly about supporting the 690 GPU that was just released.)

Unsure how much VRAM the 275 has or how much the game is using, it certainly doesn't seem to be that high-resolution and even so it shouldn't affect the main menu, might be some other issue.
(This is not the same game engine as SFxT as far as I'm aware, Capcom isn't the developer either but just helped out with things and published it.)

For me limiting fps to 60 helped to eliminate most of stuttering (i did it with msi afterburner but probably limiting from nvidiainspector should also work).

Those things are really annoying in this game too, game is getting a bit better after the fifth or so mission but that's probably not saying much. Razz
(Pushed into a corner like this it's instant death due to how fast they attack and how damn durable they are.)

EDIT: Seems there's only seven missions, was a pretty short game then.

Is the Spec Ops DLC included in this release? The DLC that adds another campaign, where you play as the good guys.

I didn't see it in the menu, so I don't think it is.

Oh but its much more than that

- Its the mistery face behind the mask, and btw the mask is bad ass as hell.

- Its her french commanding accent

- Its the fact that shes a milf who killed her abusive husband with her bare hands.

I bet she smells good too

Hmmm, controls are a bit wacky. I don't really enjoy it without the online coop. Laughing

Graphics are nice but like sort of hald outdated / half great. Capcom does now how to do cinematic in 3d games to look cool.

Oh, and I noticed weird sound bug, or maybe that's only with me, I'm not sure. I was facing Birkin the first time and failed like 3-4 times before I figured what I should do, in the 3rd or 4th time the sound kinda went out of sync. Really weird. Could be my sound card configured bad.

This is Slant Six Games though, Capcom just published it as far as I've understood the whole thing.
(Probably some creative insight and recommendations but they did not develop it and left it to this studio, someone said Soccom but I've not heard about them before.)

EDIT: Ah it was Soccom.

Well RE5 was a bit of a letdown as well and things are apparently mixed up a bit in Resident Evil 6 between Leon and Chris's paths but we'll see, for now this is a primarily MP co-op oriented offshoot game in the RE universe setting up a sort of "what-if" situation although the story is pretty non-existent. Very Happy
(Levels are also mostly linear and very straightforward and the only difficulty - as long as you don't rush head-on - is when the game spams mutated zombie monsters at you, heh.)

I'm currently watching a playtrough of RE1 since for the titles that arrived on PC it's the only one I didn't play (Or well, didn't complete as I was rather young.) though the author behind the video is pretty loud and seems to get confused easily but it's fun to watch, some guy in the comments mentioned he said "fuck" 325 times in the first video.

Most RE spin-offs are not good (and none of them is great).

It's probably better with a real person than with the AI, or well it would definitively be better when played like that.
(AI doesn't really do much but it actually manages on it's own compared to the escort and protect segments in #4 which dragged on so that's an improvement at least. Razz )

Last game I've finished in one sitting
