About the accent and the mic, I have an American accent and still the game wouldn't do shit.
Funny thing is, when I tried Japanese accent, it worked like a charm Laughing

I turned off that shit though it's annoying as fuck. It's a good game. Definitely not ported well interface wise but if you play it with a controller (the way it's meant it's a console game get over it) it's pretty fun, also cool story and segments like the jetskis for example

The first patch is out. (I just uninstalled it as I have now completed the game, funny.)
http://store.steampowered.com/news/7886/

* FOV options have been added in the Configuration Tool for Aiming and Normal views.
* Fixed Configuration Tool crash when modifying options for DirectInput control pads.
* Restored missing Controller Sensitivity options to Configuration Tool.
* Added basic keyboard and mouse navigation to the menus.
* Updated mouse sensitivity; mouse aiming should generally feel more comfortable now.
* Added Volume option in the Configuration Tool.
* Changed the Screen Size setting to be 100% by default.
* Changed the default button prompts to the keyboard icons.
* Fixed a crash on game exit.

Hardware issues:

* On Intel Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge processors, users may experience a graphical issue during the cutscene in Chapter 1 when you let go of the ship and swim over to the gangway, just before using the grappling hook. Intel is aware of the issue, and the fix will be rolled out in a future driver update. Please continue to keep your graphics drivers up to date, and the issue will soon be fixed.

* Users playing the game on some NVIDIA graphics cards, using more recent driver versions, may experience corruption of the water reflections (appearing as a mosaic-like effect over the water). NVIDIA is aware of the issue and will work on fixing it in a driver update.

* Users on Optimus laptops will likely be unable to select the correct graphics card in the Configuration Tool. NVIDIA is aware of the issue, and will work on fixing this for a future driver update.

Sounds very good but ... all those things should have been there since day-1. >_>

Good job, nonetheless.

80 is the max fov you can insert(at least via config tool). Gotta adjust the aiming mode fov(80 was way too much for me Very Happy)...

Other than that,at least ESC has a little more meaning now.

i cant believe they actually kinda listened and patched the game! i honestly expected sega to just drop the game and wash its hands of it.

that said, this is only the first stop. they still need to fix a few more things to make the game really enjoyable, such as subtitles ONLY for the japanese dialog, and also fixing windowed mode Crying or Very sad

oh.. and making the escape key go to the menu.

but still... have GOT to give credit for sega for atleast releasing ONE patch. i know "patching" shouldnt be something you give credit for, but in this case, i feel i must, because i swear, i did not expect it from them.

Tip for getting the best end:
You don't need to max anyone's trust bar. Just get it high enough for their trust level to be "very high". But make sure to do it for ALL the members.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

ok, so im up to the 'big plot twist' bit... that i kinda saw coming a mile off
 Spoiler:

and these kinds of stories sorta piss me off. i mean i all of a sudden don't like Dan. He's a massive hypocrite.. it would have been so much better if he would pick a side and stick to it... or even evolve DURING the game and change his view... but it just seems like

 Spoiler:

the other thing i dont really like, is that i liked the beginning which is interesting, and i like (kinda, apart from the above) what its all lead to... but the bulk of the game itself is just 'lets go the HQ and arrest the dude'. i would have liked for the story to be unravelled a bit slower, piecing things together DURING the game.

i havent finished it just yet.. had to take a break because dans attitude to the whole thing was pissing me off... and overall its a good game... its just that i would have liked things handled a bit better, which stops it a bit shot of being (in my opinion) a really fantastic game.

You're very close to the end but yeah the overall story is a bit weird such as how you describe it, some additional background info can be unlocked by finding those files or what they're meant to be but they aren't really needed.

It was fun to play though, nice that they got the update out so quick but as said earlier it should have been part of the game from the beginning instead of doing a rather quick port and then patch in requested features.

Alright, the patch made the game definitely playable with m+kb. It's not 100% perfect, but much better than before, and the customizable fov helps a lot:

About the gameplay, unfortunately I'm not enjoying it that much..it's basically a more dynamic Gears of War-clone with robots and a quite "surreal" plot. Nothing really innovative nor particularly interesting. If it doesn't get better soon this one is going to end up in the shift-delete paradise

The screenshot you posted is from the first act. The game is still boring at this point.
I'm currently at the end of the second act and it's much better now. I get the feeling that the people who claim that it develops into a 8/10 game at the end are right.
