ill give that a try. but seriously, enter to exit?
guess thats what happens when you ask a console developer who has never heard of a pc before, to develop a pc port, while using a mac, when they dont speak english AND hate both gaming AND gamers... and its their very first project and they dont know what to do and have to rely ENTIRELY on their "idiots guide to pc games porting" book... and none of them can read.
or something...

The story seems fine thus far, but the control and graphics suck major console ballsack, they're really a turn-off to a game that seemed half-decent. What a shame.
I also like that sometimes, it has a strong, very strong sci-fi thriller movie feeling, such as the highway chase, which was great.

Turned off the mic, myself. Had the same problem with the accent. Darn it.

Yeah I've really enjoyed the game so far (minus certain control issues which makes finer aiming quite difficult with the mouse.) nearly at the end of the fourth act out of six so unfortunately it seems to be a rather short game though on par with other FPS titles at least.
(I'd have to check but I don't think I've played more than six hours so far.)

Yea, I gave up on the mouse and stuck with the 360 controller; sadly seems to be the better choice (more optimised and no mouse smoothing issue) for most cover/third-person shooters these days.

maybe even put mouse support in all the menus |
That would be asking too much I guess .
I'd still like to try the game with proper controls though, especially after the positive comments . I have a gamepad but it's really not an option for me, let's see if they manage to fix something..

The controls are bad, but you can get used to them after a while... did anyone else get the water textures to sometimes glitch out and appear as black and white squares? I'm using latest NVidia drivers on my GTX 460.

I stopped using the latest nvidia drivers as they are a bit buggish; started causing artifacting for my gtx 460 as well as my friend's. Using the 295.73 ones, which work fine.

i've only encounter water gfx glitches at the end of act 1 ( or beginning act 2 ), where you meet the british + chinese teammembers.
i'm on a gtx 570 with the latest whql drivers.
btw, i like the graphics and the art style, especially in cutscenes. sure, some textures aren't top notch, but charakters, weapons and bosses are fine.

I wonder if the game doesn't use two modes, cutscenes run at 30 FPS when I check via Fraps and the game normally runs at locked 60 FPS other than in very large battles so I assume it's a remnant from the console version and they enable a variety of extras thus why cutscenes can look pretty good even with the game looking a bit average normally.

At first I thought it was a vsync issue (framerate running lower than 60, so vsync halves it to 30) but it's not.. it's just the cutscenes running at 30 and the game running at 60. Wonderful port.

the config app does save your settings , it's just that it reverts every time you open the app again so you think that it didn't save at all.

Run everything in admin mode, everything saves after that.

It always revert when you open up de config tool, but the changes apply anyways. Put shadows on minimum for example and then put it on high, you will see it works.
