There is D3 for 54$ at
http://www.buygamecdkeys.com/RolePlayingAndMMO/Diablo3EURegion

And apparently you can get a discount if you "like" them on facebook or something. Don't use this shit, so no idea Laughing

Anyway, anyone bought from them before? They write the key is "retail" only...it matters?

Europeans pay in euros on blizzard's site...so 60 euro is 79$. That's considerably cheaper.

Checking this real money thing...
So you can play the game and sell your character and items for real cash$.. keeping the game altogether.
How mush money back would a "end" character make? 10/ 20€?

i dont see any point for blizzard to allow selling your character.
his gear is more valuable, and there is nothing like bind on pickup item, so you can freely sell gear.
there is no arena/pve rating so again, is pointless to buy a char for some kind of rating.
nor unique names, so that is not a sell point either.

can you think of a reason you could want to buy a naked char ? just for quick acces to inferno ? gear is more important that a naked toon.

i managed to find a name for my wd.
Whodo.

Has that been confirmed now? I figured with the inclusion of an auction house, Blizzard would have items that cannot be traded away ... but, of course, with REAL money at stake - and Blizzard taking an epic 30% profit - it stands to reason they'd be only too happy for Johnny Farmer to sell his epic-tier items for oodles of cash Very Happy

Without that, there would be no selling items ingame = no money for you.

If you planned on using 3rd party sites, go ahead and keep doing that.

Why whine? Oh, cause you can..got it.

Are you fucking dumb? I'm talking about real money, not in game fucking currency. I'm for a auction fee for in game currency because that's how auctions work, but stealing your money is bullshit. I guess it's all the subhumans who would eagerly suck off every single Blizzard employer given the chance, that keeps this fucking bullshit coming, and i see enough of those around here.

i intend to sell some stuff, so i hope that there are lot's of people who can think of a reason to buy them Smile)).

my biggest issue with d3 atm, is that you can use your cash from bnet balance to buy/pay stuff in blizzard shop.
i want to get http://eu.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=221003758 and http://eu.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=221003757 for some time Smile.

YOUR money ? how come ?
i think you missed some points in eula.
like any virtual pixels in game belongs to blizzard.
my country vat is 24%. and i pay like 40% from my salary for various shit taxes, i get no benefit from. and i work hard for that money, i dont have a fun activity to get them.
15% is a fair cut for a service which from you can only win $, by having fun in a game.

It seems Blizzard is fucking brilliant. They created a huge money stream for the coming ten years, atleast, with just one game. They don't even have to support it like WoW, just let gamers play and trade. Most confusing thing, for me atleast, is that no one seems to mind. If EA did this, they'd be flamed all over the net.

If anything people would only be annoyed over the high fee's attached to it. People have been trading ingame items for real life currency in Diablo 2 forever and this was an obvious addition. If the fees get too high, the 3rd party sites will flourish again like d2jsp.org.

I don't know shit about the game/ series (or any other gold farming games) just trying to figure out how this business model works.

Instead of selling hats they put an Ebay shop in the game.
Seems to be a great income revenue (for Blizzard) maybe enough to allow free DLC = keep the player hooked = more blizzard_bay business

But for the average player who plays it to the end 1/ 2 times can he expect to get a big part of is money back (the $ spent on buying the game) from striping his character after nailing the Big Boss?

Knowing Activision, by "AH Binding" items, so that they're bound on pickup and can only be traded via the AH Very Happy

.... man, that's almost sadistic enough to be the truth Crying or Very sad

High costs attached to AH is just retarded. It isnt gonna take the community long to just use the auction house as a guideline for prices and then just skip the AH altogether and use paypal directly.
