Found a message in a bottle which mentioned "storm island" which is one of the DLC areas, seems like there will be at least one additional DLC to the ones we already know about and whom are already confirmed.
(Air temple is mentioned briefly as well by a character but that ones' already out.)
Actually I wonder if the cracked version already has it active too, probably not.
(Would be funny if it did work, then again both the treasure island and air temple work even if the dialogue files will be missing without those extra files.)

it's a 10% xp boost. It's no spoiler, just an encouragement.
Spoiler: | Anyone else found it strange that the hidden valley contains NOTHING? After all that shit and finally getting through that fire door, im left with an completely empty area with a temple that also has nothing at all. |
has anyone actually done the temple of air dlc yet? Is it worth it?

No, Treasure Island and Storm Island are completely different. Won't spoil the fun any further.
But a bit pissed, as they were content cut from the game. Damn DerpSilver.

Yes, mucho Glory in that one AND it follows with quests on all islands.
You need the Spoiler: | thieves hand from Garcia | though to get all treasure.
I'm almost at the end. All quests done, all artifacts collected, all islands devoid of monster life.
Voodoo is fun sometimes, but I'll choose muskets next time
I'll say one thing: Risen 1 does not even begin to compare to Risen 2. I don't remember when was the last time I played such a diversive game ( and still story driven ).

you can somewhat spoil the temple of air for me in a spoiler. I have completed the game, i'm just asking so i know if it's worth installing the pirated game to do the temple of air dlc aswell.

Ok, regarding the DLC's....
When should I play them? After I'm a certain lvl? Or are they standalone and the loot will not transfer?
Also, best game in the gothic series since Gothic 2 (if you consider Risen to be a Gothic type game....which it is imo)

Game has technical problems and some fighting problems aswell as balancing issues, but other than that, it's a fantastic game. So much adventure. I just loved it.

lol... they didnt give a damn about the line of sight bug of NPC's that was present in the beta, you can stand behind a NPC and hit him and he won't even attack you.

Okay, at the risk of sounding really foolish... how DO you get to Treasure Isle and Storm Island? Neither of them are on the map as selectable destinations for the ship. Are they part of other areas, such as Sword Coast or Antigua?
~edit~
Nevermind, I found out how =)

I agree. I can't help but compare it to Mass Effect 3. Those two games are on a completely different specter of rpgs. One is technically flawless, awesome combat, cinematics, character design, lipsynch... Everything is spot on, but nevertheless it feels shallow. Its writing is bad, but that still isn't the thing that makes the difference. It is its gameworld, the one with thousand lines of backstory, that is its doom. It is empty, completely lifeless blob with player character getting told what to do on every step. At the same time you have Risen 2 with problems left and right. Crappy combat, technical problems, even cliche story, but in the end its all packed into amazing living world, with quests that make your character the spotlight. It is him that roams the islands, drinks rum, fights savages and saves wenches.

You see, The Nameless was always a morally grey character. He saved the world for his selfish reasons. Shepard is more of a black and white character, but it has the same motivation: save the world.
The Nameless always entered in the saving world business because he didn't had much of a choice:
Gothic1 - hero trapped in a Penal Colony. Only chance to escape - save the friggin' world.
Gothic2-hero has some business in Khorinis and Valley of the mines. Here might be dragons, but the people will expedite you off the island only if you lend them a hand.
Gothic3-Myrtana, your home is overrun by works. Slavery, not exactly in the style of The Nameless(unless he is the one owning the slaves).
Risen-new Nameless, shipwrecked on Faranga. Tries to save the island.Fails miserably.
Our nameless hero is not noble or driven by a purpose. He's kinda of a drifter. And he makes choices on an impulse.

You can:
Spoiler: |
- buy a treasure map from Sophia in Puerto Isabella;
- steal a map lying on top of the cabinet next to a Sebastiano, who stands inside Protector's fort in Puerto Isabella;
- get another treasure map from a locked chest next to a pirate Jim inside the Shaganumbi village.

Is the choice I get between the two factions (go there or go there) on the Sword Coast final?

Yes, but you'll be given proper confirmation once those questlines start to come to a close. it will directly and literally say
"(You choose to side with the Inquisition)"
"(You choose to side with the Natives)"
etc.

But does it matter where I go first? I thought it was a bit strange to give the player that choice at that moment since I don't know anything yet about the factions.

You haven't got that choice yet, like I said; you get it when the questlines of each faction are almost done. It will show you the option in parenthesis like I illustrated above. Don't worry, there's plenty of quests for each faction before you're forced to choose -- what Steelbeard asks you is basically just where you want to START. I would recommend starting in the colony with the Inquisition.

Ah OK, the way it is presented is strange then. It seemed to be a final choice to me. Thanks.
