This really is very similar to the first game except they added bits of polish and moved some things around.
- it's now got a pirate theme which is a step up I think. The original already hinted at Spanish influences (inquisition) but now they really don't hide it anymore
- some parts have been smoothed out and made slightly better. You can now see whether you already plundered a chest for example. There's still plenty of room for more smoothing though.
- the graphics are a step up but nothing drastic. It's still well below Witcher 2 quality and I'm getting a lot of odd bugs - flickering tree textures and such. I may have to upgrade my drivers though but this is the first recent game to give me any problems.
- controls are still a little rough around the edges, like they were in the first game
Generally, the game hasn't changed that much. I do feel that maybe combat has been changed for the worst. In Risen, you really had to have skill to fight and here I could easily knock about three monsters on the beach as if it was Diablo III. No need to sidestep, parry, evade, etc.

In Tacaricuna or whatever the fuck the name is, the deaf man at the entrance to the town offers a contest that almost the same. One the of the games called "ship" something rewards you with 500 gold and hitting 10/10 targets on practice rewards you with 250.

Yes, you need the sound files for the two island dlcs tho. Otherwise you won't have sound in them. We still need the Temple of Air sound files. |

I thought Skidrow had the DLC files? Is that not the case?
What difficulty are you guys playing on? Hard is very frustrating but normal is a bit too easy (especially with Patty). Can anyone who is far enough give some leveling tips? I doubt I'll replay this, so I want to get the best out of it (as in "fun", not powerleveling)..

They missed the dialogue ones since they're separate from the main game.
(Which makes up all that's in those DLC addon downloads as the base game already has the rest of the data.)

OK thanks JB, I'm downloading the files now.
PS. I'd advise anyone with an Xbox controller to atleast give it a shot, makes everything much more smoother.
PPS. is anyone using FXAA? Care to share the (tweaked) settings?

any idea why dialogue_english_dlc1 is just 1 kilobyte , maybe that's the temple of air one but they left it like that and the ones who own it have a bigger file?

I figured because DLC1 is just the pirate outfit, which doesn't have any dialogue.

but i already had the pirate outfit even before putting the files , why would they even put any kind of dialogue file for it?

Never mind. It was just the the Air Temple quest I was doing and those dialogue files aren't up yet.

Anyways, the Temple of Air DLC isn't exactly inlcuded in the Collector's Edition. Only the Treasure Isle and Pirate Clothing are included in the box. But! The Temple of Air DLC code will be send to you by Amazon per E-Mail.
No one here who bought the Collector's Edition and could provide the files?

I thought I was doing the Treasure Isle quest and was confused why I didn't hear any voice acting. but it was the air temple one I was doing. Sorry for the confusion my English isn't the best.
