From what I remember, it may not be a bug. It's just that, if you follow Yorweth's path, something'll happen in the village that'll cut the quest short (don't want to post details and spoil the fun).

So it was different in a pc version?
Those are not an enchanted edition updates?
Maybe Mass Effect 3 pistol holster animation memory problems were true

Yeah, you can even check out the PC quick look where you can notice those; both the meditation stuff and that skill tree effect.
Other than the meditation think, I don't care about missing content. Seeing as the meditation is a big part of the witcher lore, and was present in the PC version, having that out kinda cuts the immersion for me; especially since I'm used to it from the first game.
I wonder why was it cut out, as it seems like such a trivial thing to remove under your usual "cutout content" circumstance. Performance wise it doesn't make much sense, and like i said, the fact that it is pretty integral to the witcher lore, makes the whole thing look more weird.
The sex scenes/nudity are still there however, so that's a relief!
P.S. Maybe it's a difficulty thing - streamling some stuff on lower difficulties, and I Patrick is playing it on normal thus the reason why it's probably not present there...
This is another game i never got around to playing. Just watched the intro (Awesome) and have played 10 minutes, got to the fight training ect.. Seems i missed a really good one here, looking forward to playing this.
Finally, after playing this game close to a month now, completed both the play-through. As expected, this truly managed to complete my experience of The Witcher 2. It was indeed a wise decision to provide both sides with their own unique storylines. I'll still hold a lot of memorable moments in Iorveth's play-through and consider it to be the most satisfying path. I'm over-whelmed and sort of disappointed that we have to wait for Witcher 3. This is the same wait I built up for Mass Effect 3. Just hope CDPR manages to pull off yet another success. Heck, I'm so tempted to play the original Witcher right now, but after playing this game, the combat system just won't go down well for me. Nevertheless, this is definitely the best RPG for me.
Only played Chapter 1 of TW2 but I feel like TW1 was/is a better game - probably because I played that first, when it came out, and gotten used to that in terms of the witcher experience - so I strongly recommend you play that as well.
Like I said, I want to, but the combat seems extremely jaded and after playing TW2, I'm not sure If I'd ever want to ditch my controller. The storyline and conversations seemed highly interesting though.
Finished this yesterday and enjoyed it a lot, think I did everything though I failed the "little sisters" quest.
Great game overall, but no way a 10/10, especially in the x360 version witch has some weird design decisions/issues (like the lack of a loot screen or the weird clock that messes up with the save/load) and some bugs that should have been fixed from the PC version and are still present here (Xantia's sword for ex).
The game looks and performs really well here, but all that comes at a price as there are a lot of loading screens. A lot. And even though they are shot - about 5 sec each - they are so spread out and so many that every time you go from A to B you end up staking about 3-5 of them, witch gets annoying. This happens mostly in towns/settlements though, and I made more noticeable by the fact that there are none out side of them - the wild areas are pretty much load screen free with the occasional long corridor for streaming purposes.
Didn't like the reduction in terms of liberty in this one as opposed to the first one. Only chapter 1 has a town and surrounding areas to explore. It had lot more of "witcher on a quest than "adventuring witcher" feeling and I hope they change that in the next game, and make it more like the first one. I want more witcher stuff, moar contracts damn it! >,<
The story and everything about it was a lot more interesting this time, I suppose that the trade off for narrowing the other things.
Took Roches path and I'm planing to give it another go with Iorveth next time - probably later this year - as I've saved a save file from the end of Chapter 1.
Unless there's a new game + option, in witch case I might take that path on a higher difficulty.
Really happy this made it to the x360, as I could not play this last year. 9/10 game for me, though for anyone else not invested in the witcher lore it should read as a 8/10. Glad I bought it and hope they do well and make another one, bigger and better; and less involvement political dickery this time around.
Got an Xbox One? Love The Witcher games? Well, you can now play the middle game in CD Projekt’s beloved action-RPG franchise for free.
The news of gratis Geralt came as part of Microsoft’s latest backwards compatibility roster announcement. However, it’s only available in select regions — US, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany — from January 21 through February 5.
Edit: After fucking around and Googling for almost an hour Ive discovered I cant download it using the default Xbox store as I get 'offer not valid in my country' or some crap, the reason being it requires a credit card to authorise. So I changed the Xbox store to the UK store and had no issues obtaining my free copy
Here is the game on the UK store if anyone wants it!
I actually bought this game on Xbox 360 but barely played it and eventually traded it in. Having completed the Witcher 3, Im eager to play this as I have a far better understanding of the franchise and gameplay
Loving the game. Once you get over the ropy looking visuals, which doesn't take long, it's very similar to The Witcher 3 without the vast open world feeling. I don't know why but combat feels better too. Its pretty great seeing some of the characters from the 3rd game and recalling the references to them, the lore and locations which were mentioned in The Wild Hunt. Played about 6 hours so far
Make sure you try out every side quest in this game. Just like Witcher 3, they should not be missed.
Finished the game last night and I have to say despite some flaws it was very good. The fight with the dragon was pretty tough and the Letho showdown was epic. I have no desire to play it through again but Im glad I played it. The biggest gripe I have is that out of the 3 chapters, I failed 10 sidequests just because I progressed the main story. As its not open world there is no option to return to areas in previous chapters which is one thing the Witcher 3 got right. Makes me appreciate how gorgeous the 3rd game is too and I cant wait for Blood and Wine!
Which side did you choose Iorveth or Roche?
And fuck this game is great, can't wait for the day i will have PS4 and play TW3.
I chose Roche but decided to save Triss instead of helping Roche in chapter 3. I have no idea what became of Iorveth in my game! Im tempted to start Witcher 3 again implementing the events into Witcher 2 now I have made history

Ah matey, you missed out on, quite possibly, the best side of the storyline. I was amazed how different the story was when I chose to go with Iorveth, which is the only reason why I kept recommending it for a second playthrough. I'm never keen on doing second runs either, but this game was just worth it. Either way, glad you enjoyed it.
