How come a behemoth like Blizzard, that runs a 10+ million MMO, has problems with an open beta for Diablo 3. They must have monkey's running their tech. Not that i care really, i've played the beta dozens of hours, but it boggles the mind.

The message now says that they capped the beta until they resolve some issues with the login/stability/lag stuff and that they will allow more ppl in once those are fixed.

Far be it from me to defend AVTI, but that does sound like the smart thing to do. Though the smartest thing would have been to bring all regional servers online, since what good is a massive stress test of a game that is going to have multiple servers.... if they're only using the one server for everyone to connect to?

Like Inz sayd, thats how stress test works if you want to be able to manage it in some reasonable time frame, you let in 200k then make little adjustments and optimize server and then raise the cap to 400k and so on.

Love it. Can't even login to battle.net because it keeps telling me my password is wrong. Which it can't be I just changed it three weeks ago. And I saved it into a .txt file so It. Cannot. Be. Wrong. But sure, battle.net you know better than me. It's alright.

I did manage to log in right after 21:00cest, but I only played for like 20 minutes and logged out cause... meh it's only a small part of diablo and I don't see the point to continue.

I dont get it, why you made open beta in whole world, and open only US servers and cap them, yes i know its stress test, but im not even able to login after 3 hours.
Why you make single player game makes you login and get aunthenticate thru Server, why... and even if your so fucking retarded that you make it, make some fucking decent servers, if the same shit will happen on May 15, im gonna get refund for this shit, im not willing to pay 50€ for game im not able to play because theyre server cant hold the load.

Welp. Finally managed to get the client but when I try to install it tells me I need a newer operation system since apparently Vista is too old. Oh wait. It's not. Dafuq is happening here O.o

probably because you failed to get last 3 sp updates for vista, knowing how dumbfound people are that wouldnt surprise me if you had totally barebone vista without any updates

I keep my systems updated at all times. This might be my gf's pc but still I set it up and maintain it and therefore I can assure you that it is, in fact, up to date.
