Get it while it's hot. There is one more issue that we've found which will require us to take down the demo temporarily.
Download it now if you can, otherwise, there will be a brief outage while we fix another issue.
There will be no changes to the content--this is purely due to a Steam network issue.
Thanks for your understanding, |
steam downloaded it, but wont let me play. what a goddamn clusterfuck, i feel bad for rebellion

Sure the AI isn't the brightest ever seen and it's definitely not a hard game but still, fun, which is what counts. |
Ehm..any interesting shots ?

What's with the pre-ordering?
I have it ordered and Steam still says I don't own it?
Is it common with pre-orders?

Played it, loved it. Love the fact that you don't just leave the bodies, but need to hide them as well. Small detail that makes the whole stealth aspect much more fun.

It took me 8-10 shots (because of the bullet drop) but I eventually managed to made a Nazi turn into an eunuch. Felt good man!

downloaded it from steam finaly and when i pressed the play button the game disapear from my steam games list and it said something like :this game is not free anymore rofl?
anyway got the cracked version and finaly played it
run very smooth and i guess the thing that makes you play it over and over again most is the fact that every time it is different whith the hits, i mean it will makes you keep trying to do the best score or best hits and also i am inlove with the after bullet slow motion camera
i guess this is another pre order for me

WTF is this shit Having played the original sniper elite this thing is derp sniper v2.
Regenerating health? Trip wire's not triggering when you step on them? No hud like in the first game. You take shit loads of hits before you die etc..
and yes, i played this demo on elite difficulty and it was fucking easy.
Played the original on elite and it was quite challenging and fun. Especially the planning part and staying out of site and planting traps, looking for a good spot to snipe etc
never finished it tho because the last levels the AI was cheating (locked on to you thro buildings etc)

Nice game |
Funny, 'cause i could swear this Elite difficulty wasn't adjusted for k/m and it's too easy, even with the telepathic AI. Might just be the demo. Besides that and some awfully sound effects, it seems like a good pc game. |

Just finished the demo and it's indeed quite a fun game. I didn't play the original game though (I tried it, but something put me off right from the start). This one does have its problems too. It's kind of retarded that they give you all these options, yet they don't give you an option for floating markers for example. The shooting is really satisfying, especially when you kill a guy, by breaking half of his skull with a shot lined up by you and only you, without any kind of assists. I'll definately play the full game, but this is not the kind of game I would buy, at least not while I have so few money.

It's nice to see video games finally taking in-game violence to the level where it challenges the audience's violence-acceptability.
