And why the fuck I can't use TAB in my key bindings - just because it's used in Tutorial? FU!

You can use it, just have to manually edit a config file. Don't have the game installed so can't give precise instructions but from top of my head:

In the Documents folder is one .ini file for the keyboard layouts. Can't remember the exact name but it has different sections for [QWERTY], [AZERTY] etc. Under [QWERTY] (or whatever layout you're using) find the line corresponding to TAB. It looks something like IK_TAB=TAB or whatever. So lets say you want to set your inventory to TAB you'll have to change the line to IK_TAB=I.

Should be enough info to get you started.

Unless Enhanced Edition changed something around it should work. So what was the original line and what did you change it to?

The riposte icon never appears, but yep, definitely just me. Honest guv'nor! Oh and the sign selection menu (in the quick menu) doesn't work either, you can't click to select any of the signs -- the only option is to press the numbers on the keyboard.
Fuck this broken piece of crap. I've got better things to play.

Really? I'm having no problems now. Choosing Signs works just fine, so does the riposte ( and the icon does appear )

Strange.

Edit: Holy crap, it's almost 6 am. I started playing the game around 6 pm. Even now it's just minimized Very Happy

Yeah I had the Signs button via the quick menu not work for me in the tutorial either (haven't had time to start an actual playthrough yet). The Riposte icon showed up ok though. Maybe it's related to the coding to stop you using any abilities other than the one they are trying to teach you, blocking it all the time instead of just when it is supposed to?

Outside of using Ubersampling (SSAA) the game runs pretty well, it's somewhat demanding of course (Even with new hardware, though again I've tweaked things a bit.) but just make sure that option is disabled, SSAO, light-shafts and cinematic DoF are if I remember correctly the other settings that really hit performance besides the screen resolution. Smile

using previous release, not enhanced version, you can download the Enhanced patch at the official witcher 2 site. save redownloading 15GB for a patch you can apply to previous version.

Aha i didn't expected they will release EE on retail as well.
Anyways SKIDROW release is one bluray dvd. Im considering to make myself ENG only rip and hopefully compression will down the size to 2xDVD5, but i doubt it.It will require 3xDVD5.

Don't bother with SKIDROW, just let Launcher do it job.

isn't EE update actually 15gb too (at least manual one is)?. so might as well get a 15GB retail EE version, and if you ever want to reinstall in the future it will be way faster.

I did download SKIDROW release and can confirm that it is a custom made ISO with GOG installer of Witcher 2 EE:

Code:

17.04.2012  01:00               156 autorun.inf
17.04.2012  01:00     2 097 547 520 setup_the_witcher_2_ee_3.0.1.17-1.bin

17.04.2012  01:00         2 452 311 setup_the_witcher_2_ee_3.0.1.17.exe
              11 File(s) 16 093 812 528 bytes

It's a pity that chances of another group releasing an actual retail DVD images of EE are non-existant now ... Sad

That's impressive. I did not expect a game on Bluray Very Happy

Also why burn the game on DVDs? It's kinda 2003ish.

At least SKIDROW nfo says its Bluray and its one iso file. If retail version is one disk it should be Bluray then. But as @PowerGamer confirmed my guess they've just took gog version installer and just did quick iso. (Maybe reatail disk is the same who knows.)

I burn on DVD's cuz first i don't have Bluray reader/burner.And second i kinda get these dvd disk's almost for free Cool Face

What do you need retail ISO for?

Well, I am one of those people that prefer to collect games in retail DVD cases - and I just hate to burn non original or custom made installers to DVD. So if I can find retail DVD images of EE I would replace my non-EE DVDs and free alot of space on HDD by erasing EE patch.

Retail version of Witcher 2 EE is 2 DVDs (for obvious reasons, there hasn't been a single PC game released on Bluray yet). 2 DVDs are mentioned here in product description for example: http://www.amazon.com/The-Witcher-Assassins-Enhanced-Edition-Pc/dp/B006P5RW3M

Well I used an old Act 2 save (siege of vergen right before act3 starts.. which is where most of the new content is) and unfortunately ran into a bug where I cant unleash the hot oil on the Kaedenians. Its like the dwarven mechanism isn't "set" right in the map and I cant interact with it. I figured using an old save would be problematic but.. fuuuuuu

an old save will be problematic because a lot of stuff in story line / cinematics / in game cinematics / etc are slightly changed , not big changes or whatever but here and there things will go slightly different

If you have the scene release version you normally just need to run the setup file and set a folder for it and then it'll just install as normal. Smile

EDIT:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/whats_all_this_hogwash_about_the_360_version_having_better_lighting

Some discussion about the X360 and PC comparisons, some said the models were improved but it just looks like that Nekker is poorly filtered, I do like the X360's more subtle and less bright lighting in that first tower image though just before the attack begins.
(Though why is Foltest using a white garb?)

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/annoying_bugs_remaining_after_enhanced_edition_update

And some of the possible issues that still remain with the game according to one person.
