The trailer was fantastic and it really gave off a vibe of a game I would love to play... but this deliberate avoidance of showing any actual gameplay screens or footage is worrying and aggravating.

There are many things that contribute to raise the hype for me, like the fact that it's developed by Arkane Studios (the guys behind Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic), not to mention that the lead designers worked on Deus Ex and Thief.
Also the fact that it's set in a steampunk semi-open world and structured as first person stealth game with different ways to achieve objectives is incredibly attractive, but without gameplay videos I can't really judge anything, we indeed need something concrete  |

It's not about the gameplay. Sentences like the ones I quoted above send a chill down my spine.
Dishonored seems to be my dream come true. A perfect blend of Thief, some parts of Assassins Creed, and a good measure of Bioshock.
If the gameplay is half as good as described by the devs, I'm sold.
But the part that has me worried is their constant assurance of multiple endings, that aren't just derived of single yes/no, kill/spare situations, but rather a combination of various actions and choices throught the game.
Meaning, the ending isn't influenced or driven by a binary, or terciary choice system that occurs 15 minutes until the end.
It just sounds too good to be true. I hope I'm wrong though, I really do.

Most devs promise exactly that. "Multiple endings" is just fancy marketing talk, doesn't mean shit.

Thanks for the preview... though I'm shouting myself hoarse asking for gameplay footage by now. The fact that they're going out of their way to keep it hidden is either a very good or very bad thing. sigh.
