Are there any ini tweaks to make you able to move beyond the fixed map size in the world map when zoomed in? Ex. I would like to be able to zoom in on the shoreline to the north of skyrim but you're only able to view it if you're zoomed way out.
Anyone know if there exists a mod or some ini tweaks to make that possible?

There are these invisible boundaries that I've found no way around, mods and tweaks improve controls and might allow more zoom, rotation and tilt but I don't think the boundaries can be removed.

Darn, already have those tweaks added :/ What if you change the size (height and width) of the actual map file, hmm maybe I should play around a bit with the CK..
*EDIT*
Nope that didn't work either. There must be a way to disable that border on the world map :/

So I think you guys know that I'm waiting for some big and meaningful mods, nothing specific I mean, just mods that make the game not suck. What's the situation on those? Also, speaking of maps, is there any mod that introduces a classic map like in Gothic for example? I remember something that the character could hold in the offhand, but it was kind of wrong since you couldn't see anything. A mod that brings such a map on screen, while the character holds it in his hands, like in the first 2 Gothic games, would be perfect.

I know of those two, but I don't like them. The first one is the one I mentioned and indeed, it's impractical and the second one is just the normal map with a different texture. I want that 3D map screen gone, it's retarded. I want a proper map, as I said, like in the first 2 Gothic games. Such a shame that even if the modding community of Bethesda is so much bigger and has a lot more access to modding the games, the modding community of PB is still better. They stick together and fix the damn game and that's it. They don't put out a billion of idiotic mods. Sorry if anyone feels offended by this (that's not my intention), but I just needed to say this.
As for gameplay mods, well I can't really be more specific. I've said countless times what bothers me in this game and it's basically everything. The game isn't balanced at all, there's too much stuff, most of it having no damn value. So yeah, basically this needs a Gothic-fication mod or whatever you want to call it.

I have a few mods I'm waiting to be moved to nexus and they will be added there, it's just the question of when.. The mod I'm waiting the most for is Improved Interior Lighting (For Pluto's Realistic Lighting Mod) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=13434
My game is a legit game too, but I refuse to use steams mod crap there's no way to keep track of anything with it! NMM ftw! |
How doesn't steam track mods?? It's got current subs and favorites...

not sure if this one helps but it aims at making items more rarer and less leveled so you don't get good stuff as soon as you get to a certain level , also smithing gets a big overhaul you actually need schematics and shit and the branches are now weapons and armor.

Does anyone know of a mod that enables magic weapons to recharge overtime, specifically the magic staffs?

Now something like that is one of the many things this game needs. Was just curious if this kind of mods are being made. I'm not going to play the game now, it's just way too boring like this. Also, what would be nice... to have the immersion of Gothic games in third person and the immersion of Dark Messiah in first person.

There should be a upload of it somewhere but it works as a tool addon via Steam otherwise.
(Thus you need to own Skyrim to obtain it normally but otherwise I don't think it has any special requirements.)
(For the first release of the editor you ideally want version 1.4 of the game as the lowest and for the current release version 1.5 due to engine functionality changes, you also do not want to use non-Creation Kit mods any longer due to numerous dirty references and other bloat affecting the game and save games.)

Hmm this one sounds pretty good, now I need to check if it's compatible with the dozens of mods that I have already installed..not an easy task

Heh, conflicts in this game is a pretty tough issue, plus there's no leveled list merging yet (Unless Wrye has one already, not sure about that.) and there's a lot of ways for mods to conflict though some issues are much more severe than others due to engine limitations or outright bugs.
(Navmeshes for example are apparently very problematic and scripts again though Papyrus expands on some things but are limited in others.)

So many gfx mods, so much choice... I can't keep up with the definitive list of must haves...
Don't suppose anyone is bored enough to list a few from Nexus? Please?

I loved the Project Nevada and FWE mods. Are those guys doing anything similar for Skyrim?
I love the game to death, but I utterly hate the meta-mod game - trying to experiment with dozens of mods, installing and uninstalling forever because of whatever bug/glitch/balance crap.
I usually have to wait ~6 months until a small selection of mods have matured enough to invest the time required.
I'm waiting for a mod similar to the above mentioned Overhaul mod, but one that specifically deals with Stealth, Enchanting, Smithing and stuff like that. All of which are broken in the vanilla version.

Unfortunately isn't it pretty much confirmed that the first two DLC will see a one month exclusivity on the X360 first and then they'll do the other platforms?
