Bah thought the most recent update wud fix my shitty performance, I have an i-7 , 8gig if ram and a 560 ti, at 1920x1080 and med details I hover around 40 fps, what's causing the poor performance? I'm running skyrim at the same rez but with everything on high/ ultra all distance sliders at max at a steady 80+ fps.

i have 60+fps on Ultra (except AA) at 1920x1080 with 560Ti (but my 560Ti is really a GTX580 is disguise, as I have the new 448 core model heavily overclocked too). Oh and my CPU is a 2500K @ 4.5Ghz Wink

That's why they did Battlelog in the web-bowser. So you can watch youtube vids instead of a loading screen.

You mean when you maximize the window?

Aye,

I've found (say joining caspian) that if I don't maximize the window it sits on "loading game" for a few minutes, then pops into the spawn menu, but when maximized it takes no more then 30s

Going from 4GB to 8GB, loading maps was dramatically sped up. The first load session is the same, but subsequent map changes take about 4 seconds. ati 5870, q9550..

That's weird though, I have 8GB of ram (Corsair Vengeance) + a standard Caviar Blue and vanilla maps don't take so much to load. Something less than a minute for the first time that I load a map, then after that loading times become a lot faster, around 5-10 seconds.

My specs are: 2500k@4.5ghz, 8gb ram, 560ti sli

I get a marked difference doing this.
I used to browse this forum and others waiting for it to load, but not any more.

I might benchmark it somehow, maybe a restart between tries.

This does happen sometimes... I noticed that soon after release and the issue is still present. It seems the game gets sort of stuck on final stages of loading on occasion if you don't maximise it. Once you do, you get into the spawn menu in a couple of seconds.

i think the long load times are a Video card issue. i had a ati HD5850 up until a few months ago and then switched to a Nvidia 560ti 448 core and the load times on vanilla maps doubled if not longer then when i had my ati card. B2K load fast still though.

Yep... 8GB DDR3 @1600 and it takes way more for the game to load the vanilla maps. DICE fix your game, it's broken.

Sounds like some of you guys have some serious hardware issues.

8gb ram and it runs smooth as silk, buttery smooth etc. The refined Frostbite 2.0 engine really takes advantage of all the perks a PC offers. DICE lied about a few things, but not about PC being lead platform Very Happy
