id say its pretty clever, given that its in keeping with the theme of one of the films central characters :/
they didnt do it with the goal of upsetting people... they did it because they thought it would be a great artistic flourish. sadly i guess they didnt anticipate the stupidity of some of the customers 
i think its a really groovy looking piece of cd art to be honest. id rather see a thematic styled disc (that looks a little rough on purpose) than the usual stamped 'hero' shot of the main character like we usually get

the rape in the book is worse, i would highly recommend reading the trilogy... they're absolutely fantastic.
the movies are weak compared to the books
books > swe movies > english movie

Totally disagree. While the 'first' movie was an outstanding film I beleive Fincher's film is superior in every way.

I would agree if Daniel Craig wasn't in lead. He's a terrible terrible casting for Mikael.
He dragged the movie down for me, I think Mikael Nyqvist did a great job. I also prefer Rapace as Salander but if i'm honest Mara did an excellent job aswell so it doesn't matter.
