I want to pay 30 pound a month max, really on a 12 month contract but will push on to a 24 month contract if it's worth it.
Has to have the net obviously with a gig usage, over 250 hours call time and a good sized screen.
What does everyone recomend?
Ryzen 5 3600 cpu@3.60 Mhz.
hyper x 32 gb ddr 4 memory.
Msi Carbon gaming pro ac motherboard.
Evga 600 psu.
Msi Armour rx 8 gb 5700 Graphic card.
Ps4 Standard 500gb.
Lg 4k 42 inch tv.
Oculus Quest 2.
O2 has the handset right now. The One X will cost you nothing on O2’s new “On & On” tariff, which costs £36/month on a two-year contract. That nets you unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and 1GB of data. If you need 2GB of data, the price increases to £41/month. The cheapest you’ll be able to pick the phone up on a two-year contract is with an upfront cost of £79.99 and monthly payment of £31. That gives you 300 minutes, unlimited texts, and 1GB of data. If think you don’t need that much data, O2 offer between 100 and 750MB depending on the tariff, which would save you some money.
Vodafone is offering pre-orders for the white HTC One X for Free on a £41/month tariff with a two-year contract. That plan includes 900 minutes, 3000 texts, and 1GB of data. If you don’t want to pay that much monthly and are prepared to shell out some money up front for the phone, then you can drop down to a £36/month tariff. The phone will cost £99, and your minutes will decrease to 600. Paying £199 upfront will drop the cost further to £31/month, although you’ll only get 300 minutes and 500MB of data with that tariff.
Three, meanwhile, are offering a slightly better deal. The HTC One X will be available for Free on The One Plan, which costs £38 a month. With that you’ll get 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts, and “all you can eat” data, including tethering. If you want an ever so slightly lower monthly cost, then the Ultimate Internet 500 plan offers the handset for Free on a £35/month tariff, with minutes dropping to 500. Tethering, however, isn’t included. Whichever plan you choose, Three are shipping the HTC One X right now.
Yep should be here within the next few days nothing but great reviews from what I've read.
The only problem I'm going to have is that i constantly drop my current mobile but it is biult like a brick n never breaks.
Whats the s2 like durabillity wise?
Will it break into pieces after it is droped?

Nope it won't. The white ones corners are a little bit sensitive (my GFs fell on the ground and it left marks ) apart from that it's very solid.

Funny, last thing I want
Got 3.7" now (HTC Desire) and I'd say this is about the perfect size.
Yeah but due to evolution my hands adjusted to the size of my penis, so I have to go with the galaxy note
But Werelds... to be honest: 3.7 inch is tiny (I had 3.7 on my touch fuck 2). And the desire is wasting a lot of screen space. I don't really think that a bigger screen would be problematic for anybody as the main problem is the size of the device. Your desire could easily fit a 4" screen but it would need to have next to no border. The technology is advanced enough to feature such devices I'd say
I'd love to see phones with borders <1mm. Of course the touch region should only register events up to 4mm distance from the border

Well yeah, obviously. My Desire is a 2.x device so it still has physical buttons. The bezel could be a bit smaller, which would make 4.0" doable. But 4.7" I know is bigger than I like, let alone something like the Note.
For me, the Xperia S is about as much as I want in terms of size. 9mm taller, 4mm wider - result is a 4.3" display, combined with the 720p resolution that also brings the PPI above even the iPhone 4. Perfectly doable, there's just none besides the Xperia S. Acer's Cloudmobile will be the same size, but that's not out until Q3
I don't want any bigger than that, it's a phone, not a tablet. For that I'll get an *actual* tablet

Had an HTC EVO 3D for a few months and when I take it out of the commuter case it is in more or less brand new condition. Got to get me some proper screen protection though that doesn't suck up fingerprints, any recommendations lads?
my partner has the note... jesus last time he took out his phone it looked like a baby Ipad.... the idea of movies and browsing and whatnot is cool... but not sure how it would be for texting i text insanely fast with one hand on my iphone...
Shit, if Apple makes a phone with larger screen, I will have to search for a new "home" (or perhaps a very cheap 4S). I don't want these huge bulges in my pocket (already have enough bulge there ). The current size is the sweet spot for me. Perhaps a 3.7" with no surrounding frame and a few mm more, but that's it.
Thinking about it, I really don't see the phone size increasing dramatically. The current UI paradigms Apple has in place would essentially be useless for a 4"+ type display. And with the rumored "iPad nano" also coming, that would mean instead of two distinct UI paradigms, Apple would require from developers to support four. That sounds really unbelievable. Even for a company that seems to be a little lost from creative standpoint without Jobs.
there is NO way they will keep this size, too many people are clamoring for a bigger screen and browsing and reading and such would be easier... they wont increase it drastically though... maybe just 4inch and edge to edge
The next iPhone™ will feature the revolutionary Retina Plus™ display at 1920x1280 at 3,7" and a 4x more powerful GFX chip. The larger battery (just 120gr more) will make sure that your phone feels even more solid and not like the competitions lightweight plastic toys.
Be ready for the next iPhone™, be ready for Retina Plus™

And I'm really not sure if you 3,7" supporters properly used phones with larger displays. Especially when surfing it's really nice to be able to click a link without zooming in every time. Touch screen gaming is much nicer because you can actually see whats happening on the screen and not only just your fingers. And even at 4,3" they are still easily usable with one hand. OK, maybe not if you are a midget.

I have. I can also click links fine without zooming most of the time, I don't really use my phone for gaming.

You do realise you're in the exact same boat as me right? iPhone 4 and HTC Desire are nearly identical in size. Yours is like 2 mm thinner and 3-4 mm less tall, but that's it (I've held them next to each other, due to mine's curves you don't notice the difference)
4.0 or 4.3 is doable on phones of this size or with a few mm more, as long as the bezel is next to nothing. What we need are these ( @ the most horrifying Dutch accent ever in that video as well!).
Yes, I know. And if Apple goes overboard with some huge display or radical change, I will be looking at some small, elegant Android phone or 4S, depending on price.
But I just don't see it happening. It means their AppStore starts from scratch, and this is not something Apple wants, especially when the current iPhones are selling like hot cakes still.

I highly doubt they'll go much bigger as well. Like I said, 4.0-4.3 is doable on roughly the same size as long as the bezel is gone. That said, that's also the only thing they can change in the display. Resolution won't be able to go up as the next step would be 1920x1280 and to my knowledge, no panels at such resolution+size exists. On the other hand, increasing the physical display size would also lower their PPI.
No, the next iPhone will most likely still be that 3.5" @ 960x640 but with a new design.
Let's leave resolution aside for a moment (they can always claim that a larger display can be held further from the eyes, thus "retina" is retained - like they did with iPad). The software just wouldn't work on such large displays. Take a look:
Spoiler:
See how big and strange they seem on your current display? That's how they would seem on a 4"-4.5" display. A change in the OS would be required.
I currently have Xperia S and I have also compared it too Galaxy Note.
SXS is very close to the maximum size a phone should be. I wouldn't mind using GN as a work tool, but it's a damn beast to carry around.
One of things I'd like on whatever new phone I get is a bigger screen than my iphone so that I can actually read ebooks on it. Tablet is too big for a packed subway and 3.5" is just too small to read on.
