You're all missing the point it's not about co-existing but about the high level these civilizations have advanced, it's time to start again from scratch plus give a chance to some new species to flourish, out with the old in with the new.

Dude if you're going to wipe the new species out too while they are in misery, there is no point to develop and live. You rescue the new species from being killed by others but you kill them later by yourself. So why did you rescue them then..?
Can you see any logic here?Neither do i because there's no any...

I don't buy that at all. No way that they work on the third/final entry in a huge franchise like ME and they don't have the whole story fleshed out early in the process. It would be a safe bet that they had the story lines, at least loosely, written for all three games before the first one was even finished. Sure things might get changed but overall, they more or less knew what would happen *years* ago, not months. |
I know that. Drew Karpshyn did write the end for ME3 during his work on ME1, as I've said earlier. Bioware threw out his script a few months ago and had Mac Walters/Casey Hudson write up a new one, the one we have now. Hence it being shit, and hence the current ending not being hinted at in earlier games.

No, I was wrong earlier. They threw out Karpyshyns script already when he left Bioware, thats why its only hinted at in ME2, not ME3. I believe he left towards the middle of ME3 development. The human reaper was the narrative bridge that was supposed to connect all that happened in ME2 with the dark energy ending, but since they changed everything they retconned the human reaper into the void of illogical uselessness.
The conclusion is they probably had 2 or 3 times more time to write that new clusterfuck ending - based on the letter of some stupid german kid.
Which only makes it worse
@ Bioware trolling us:
No comment. This whole thing has become so surreal and fubar there is no point in being angry or arguing any further.
Time to sit back, relax and watch all that is going to unfold in the future from a safe spot in the spectator area.

So what's the deal if (for example) I bought the game, play the mp side. Then I want to play the SP campaign, but with all the DLC included. Can I just replace the .exe for the cracked one? And do the same but for the original .exe everytime I want to play mp?

The thing is that the combat readiness, for example, and all the sp & mp achiviements are stored in a "Local_Profile.sav" completly separate from the sp saves, dlc, etc. I would like to confirm if we can play an original copy using and turning between the cracked .exe and the original one without a problem... But I don't own the game myself to confirm that.

What? There are plenty of mods for SC2.

Yes, but you will get banned for cheating in SC2's SP campaign. I guess EA is just too lazy and outright bans everybody with modified files, no matter if it was just modding or cheating.

Also there are official cheats for sc2 which disable achivements and will not get you banned, but i belive that third party cheats are bannable becouse of unlocking achivements.

So I got to the ending and I have a question. The absolutely best possible ending differs from the lesser ones by one scene:
Spoiler: | where you see the Normandy try to outrun the blast and then they end up on some planet |
Is this correct?
The reason I am asking is that supposedly you only get that if you have 4000 EMS or higher. But I had much less than that (somewhere around 3500) when I started the final mission... and I still got the scene. Readiness was at 50% as well. The green bar was fully filled though, not sure if it's always like that.
So am I missing something here?

You don't need 4000 EMS to get that.
Spoiler: | Best possible ending - Earth saved, see squadmates exit normandy, see Shepard take a breath (4000)
Very good ending - Earth saved, see squaddies (2800)
Pretty bad ending - Earth partially destroyed, no squaddies
Bad ending - Earth completely destroyed

Spoiler: | i don't that seeing Shepard take a breath is part of the EMS stuff , it only happens when you chose the destroy option hence the indoctrination theory. |

It hardly seems the best ending anyway... given the outcome of that choice, it actually seems like the worst ending |
Spoiler: | yeah i chose control cuz i couldn't bear destroying ALL technology , so control was more logical even if it seemed to good to be true maybe |

Spoiler: | Depends on how you want to view the ending. Red is considered best by IT because it's the only one in which Shepard can break through the indoctrination, whereas the other ones are not.
In any case, all the endings result in the destruction of the mass relays, so all of them are equally bad from that point of view. |
